What changes have you noticed in yourself since you began eating vegan.

I've been vegan for almost a month now, and I've noticed I have much more energy now, I'm happier in general and have a better outlook on life. Prior to going vegan I was in a pretty depressed state and binge eating frequently on dairy products. I just cut it all out cold turkey and it was the best decision I've ever made. I can't believe how much a change in diet has affected my mood so positively. I thought the switch in diet would only help me physically, but I've found that it's helped me so much more mentally/emotionally. It just feels good at the end of the day knowing you haven't harmed animals by anything you've eaten that day.5

I've been eating a vegan diet for six weeks now. I do feel like a lot of positive things have happened. My energy level is very high, I do not require as much sleep during the night, my skin is healthier (mysterious rashes gone, redness in my face diminished), my nails are stronger, my hair is softer, and I am also not suffering from depression, mood swings. My period had no cramps - first time ever. I didn't take pain meds. I am not craving foods. I also lost 9 pounds. I haven't changed my workouts and I'm never hungry so I do think it's the diet that did this. I'm a big fan of this diet since I feel so good. I'm looking forward to three or four months in6

So many positive changes:
Less inflammation, more even skin tone, no oily patches on face, fewer allergy symptoms, less bloating and indigestion, more regular poops.
No desire for fast food or drive-thru because none of it is vegan. Finally able to say no to ice cream, desserts and baked goods. Lower grocery bill. Expanded my culinary repertoire and became more knowledgeable about nutrition. This one is weird- less body odor when I sweat. And I noticed my husband smells better when he hasn’t eaten animal products too.
A few months ago got allergy testing done and found out I’m allergic to several kinds of animal meat and also dairy, so no wonder I have felt better and not missed it!

I am only about 1.5 weeks into this journey. But I already feel so much better. I echo the comments about the way of eating making me more positive about life, more happy, less irritable. It is amazing the mood effects. How has this changed my outlook on life so much? Maybe because I know I'm doing what I can to not die before my kids are grown. Maybe it is all physical affecting my brain. I was trying to explain to my husband that I just feel better about everything. Which is amazing. It certainly is encouraging to never go back.

Happy you are here twenty2324! Your husband will understand when the sex is better because you feel better. I cook everything vegan for everyone in my family. I will only use meat as a side dish for the guys.0
