Every month, @craigo3154 carefully lists his goals for the month. He is much more disciplined than me. I'm a horseshoes and hand grenades...close enough is good enough kind of guy...at least about me.
But this month, I am making a commitment to new goals. I've been at the same weight range for 20 years. Back then, I dropped from 212 to 190 by doing Weight Watchers. When I got to 190, I just stopped. I was ok with me.
I've been ok with that weight for a long time.
Now, I am making changes to lose another 12 lbs. That would take me to 180. I'm in no hurry, but I want lose an average of one pound per week. That means I must create a 500 calorie per day deficit. I intend to do that by dropping my calorie limit and lifting my exercise so that I exercise to the point of sweating at least 5 days per week. I started last week with new changes and all went well. Oh, another result of the 12 lb weight loss is that my waist measurement at the belly button line should decrease by 2". I'll post measurement progress at the beginning of each month.
That is my plan. I'll keep you posted.
Rick

Exercise done I am finding myself. Yesterday I wore my crazy lularoe pants to my parents, just us my dad loved them my mom was not a fan. We looked at old photos and I decided where I want to be weight wise now it's just getting serious about it. I may regret it but I put away the winter clothes and brought out spring. Till later Sue9

Public holiday today.
Fire services plans to do a controlled burn for fuel reduction in the forest tomorrow. Will try get walk in early before they start.
@RangerRickL. Best success with the plans. What you propose is pretty much spot on. It may take a week or two for the body to get the memo and start reducing weight.
I'd also suggest take a rough chest and waist measurement each week (simple tape measure). This way any real change should be picked up well before the scale reflects what is happening.
@2020pinktogo. Had to look up what lularoe pants were (we know them as leggings). Spring is a good time to start to work on health goals. I'd seriously work on size and fitness goals more than weight goals. The weight will happen. With UAC, you are in the right place to work on these goals. We will help as much as we can.7 -

Great day today, found a decent sized steam cooker of an anonymous brand at a Chinese shop. Thank you China, really. Now I can stay at hotels when I travel without worrying about finding decent food and it's small enough to fit in my car despite all the training stuff, the bike, etc...6 -
Exercise yes, 10 min quigong, 20 min Leslie Sansone, 38 min yoga with Lesley fightmaster, seemed better doing it in that order rather than the yoga before the Leslie Sansone so that's my 'change'...

Yes x 3.
45mins spinning class. This was my 3rd spin in a week and 3rd instructor and the hardest class for all the wrong reasons: I didn't like the music! Isn't it funny how something like that can make such a difference. I regularly go on a Thursday evening for 60mins and LOVE that instructor's music choices and the energy it brings to the class. Today's class was one I don't normally go to but was able to as it was a bank/public holiday. I tried my best and still sweated loads and fitbit was happy, but I didn't love it and found it much harder work and each track seemed to last forever. Anyway, to show how much it comes down to personal preference loads of others were complimenting him on the playlist at the end of the class!6 -

Exercise- yes, a hasfit seated routine plus the PT stuff. Stood for some exercises for the first time today. The brace is soooo much lighter than the boot! Also increased upper step limit meant I was able to move more at work.

This week I get to spend 6 hrs a day out of the boot and in a brace as long as their is no plain or swelling. It feels amazing to have some freedom from it each day! 5 more days till I can try driving!!! So excited!6 -

30 minute workout on the stationary bike. I really burn calories on that thing which needed to happen considering all the candy I ate, blah.
Counted everything.
Stayed in my budget, had to work out harder to do it and I was exhausted from my busy day, but I made sure it happened.
Might have to have hubby hide the candy from me!6 -
Yes x 3
Today was unexpectedly beautiful - and my first time out hiking our woods without snowshoes! There are still some areas I punched through and ended up in deep (and cursing), but a lot of melting has happened. Critter tracks everywhere.
@RangerRickL - thanks for your post to revise goals and take another step to push up the intensity. Bravo! You'll feel great.
And both @oykucan and @Crosbinium that is great news! Good recovery.5 -
