Hey gang, just dropping by to say hi! I'm not doing the monthly challenge this month or next but will be back in June. Meanwhile feel free to add me and I'll try and swing by occasionally. Looks like you guys are doing great work, well done!
I set myself my own challenge last week. I had 5 weeks to go until my holiday so set a target of 10lb loss in that time and set the following plan to try and achieve that:
1. Goal is to get below 23 stone. I was at 23st 9 so that's 10lb - 2lb a week. Very achievable if I stick to the rest of the plan.
2. Plan my meals.
3. Stick to the meal plan.
4. Log EVERY bite I take - even if it's off-plan or over my limit. This helps with damage control and getting back on track.
5. Stop running scared and go to the lunchtime Tai Chi class held near work every Wednesday.
6. At least 3 of the other 4 lunchtimes each week, go for a half hour walk.
7. Go swimming after work at least once a week.
Last week I managed to plan my meals, stick to plan for almost all of them, I went to Tai Chi which was super scary but actually an amazing experience, I only managed 1 lunchtime walk as I had to work through most lunch times, and didn't make it to swimming. So a mixed bag but some definite success, and 1lb lost.
This week I have already been for a lunchtime walk today, and am going swimming after work

I’ve have been very sick all last week. Somehow allergies inflamed my lungs so I had to go on a small steroid because I have asthma. Over the weekend I seem to be doing much better but hubby has been running a constant fever 99-100 since he came home from work Friday.2 -

I had a great drop for last week as you can see! Although that's partly due to a severe migraine - which has also led to me eating too much in the 'recovery' phase so I've undone some of that good work - but not all of it, and I have time to get back on track.
I'm really proud to see you all posting here, whether you are losing or going over a bump you are still here and still trying and that's how success is achieved Keep up the great work!2 -
