Every mid-month, we pause from over-fixation on our weight and the scale. Please share you successes that are your personal Non-Scale-Victories (NSV)....
Thanks, Rick1 -

Best day of my life? I have returned in the open water, it wasn't even 12C (53F) but I missed it so bad I went anyway and it was worth it.
Then I went to a race with my team mates, loved it. Beautiful scenery and great company, even if I wasn't properly racing, it was just training for me. Bit tired now.8 -

nsv looser clothes,
got a bargain from charity shop, a parka, never thought I would get it on, 2 sizes smaller than I usually buy!7 -
I just got home from a quick trip to San Antonio, Texas. @jugar will be interested to know this was a horse shopping trip to find one of the most difficult types of horse to find...the grandchildren and novice rider horse. The horse that is not a deadhead but has a high tolerance of non-intentional operator error.
Success! We bought Charlie a retired Texas ranch horse.
For lots of good relationship reasons? Yesterday was a pass day. It was fun to spend Pass Day 1 so as to enjoy Texas BBQ and Tex-Mex cuisine.
Later, I’ll post today’s report. It’s back on track5 -
Yes × 3
Allergies sidelined my plans today, but I went out for a walk so I did something instead of nothing. The allergy meds are barely keeping me awake, I think its going to be an early night tonight!!5 -
Yes x 3, according to my prelogging calculations. If I go off course I'll edit later. One hour of tennis and tons of gardening earned my sangria for the day!!4
-
Yes x 3 - Exercise back inside. Temps at freezing and below, once again. 27 minutes combined total of low impact aerobics and mild stretching. Enough calories left for my usual evening snack.3

I haven’t been checking in daily. I flew to England on Wednesday and didn’t get a UK SIM card until today. WiFi has been sketchy and we’ve been on the go non stop.
I have maintained ‘3 x yes’ for everyday that I’ve been here. Today we ate at Roast in Borough Market, it’s a functioning market that has become a hot tourist spot. We found the most incredible cheese shop and lots of fabulous produce. Then onto the Tate Modern and some wandering after…
Looking at St Paul’s from the Tate
NSV: i can pull my jeans on and off without undoing them, thank you to my belts!5 -

My NSV for this month is that due since I started working one time per week with a trainer, Emily, I have gotten stronger. I can do more pushups and planks. Plus, my cardio stamina has increased which is evidenced by my sprint intervals during my walk/run intervals.2

Exercised?: Yes. Setup and pack up of drone track in 35knot winds and rain
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Lots of driving today. Diet was poor and well under calories for the day (and tired).
FPV Drone comp 3 hours from home. Unfortunately weather did not cooperate and only practice laps were run (in 30knot winds). In those conditions, FPV drone piloting is the equivalent of white-water kayaking where you cannot see the water. Still managed a dozen laps without breaking anything, so I'll call that a win.
NSV for the day. While packing up track (after a passing storm blew pieces of the track away), had to run the length of the field to collect cones (about 1km all up) while carrying track pieces. Could do it easily (and as fast as most of the 20yo's) without being out of breath.
Love reading others NSV's.3 -

I thought I had posted last night! It seems to have disappeared, or something weird happened. It was a good day the 14th, yes x 3, with lots of VERY brisk walking in Montreal where it is much too cold and windy. I didn't pack my winter jacket, so I had to go buy a sweater to put under my spring coat! It sure keeps the walking pace up, though. I plowed right past all kinds of people going up a steep hill and then a long flight of outdoor stairs on my way to a concert last night. I was not out of breath, and I got warmer! NSV.
So, @RangerRickL - so glad you found a good kid horse. They are worth their weight in gold. I just found out a few days ago that the horse I bought for my daughter when she was 13 will be coming back to us! He is the most amazing kid horse - he will do anything for a young one, and is a go-anywhere trail horse. With a savvy adult he can be a bit bratty, but for a kid he will work and keep them safe. He is a hilarious guy too - I'm looking forward to having him back, even though we do NOT need another horse! There is a lovely 14 year-old girl who will be happy about this. She has been going through some rough times lately and will be his main rider. Her mom is a friend of ours, and it will be good to have the perfect horse for her daughter whenever she wants some good solid shoulder to cry on, or needs a whooping good time that does not involve people. Or anything inadvisable, illegal, or stupid.2 -

I'm super disappointed in myself. Went out of town for a wedding and passed too many days. I'm getting back on track tomorrow. And May will be a fresh start.2

Exercise: Yes - 30 minute gym session and some laughs with my PT.
Tracked: Yes
Within Calorie limit: Yes
@RangerRickL this post about NSV is so on point for me right now. I was having a discussion about the scale, and my husband suggested I redefine what success looks like for me. We talked about sticking to a realistic calorie target for me for now, regular exercise etc.
My NSV at the moment is that I'm noticing increasing strength as I've been regularly going to the gym for four months or so. It's a good feeling. Success builds on success!
@trimi1104 congrats on your open water swim! I grew up swimming outdoors and I love it.
@LoraineGB lovely photos!
