Okay, I'm going to take a bit of a twist on the quote above. After sharing with UAC team members for a long time, it's obvious to me that many members do not feel happy with themselves. This is a great place to just be yourself. Some folks can climb mountains (@bocasdelgrandpabob) others are outstanding competitors (@trimi2017), and most of us are doing well when we have a nice walk or bike ride in the park. Don't compare yourself to anyone else. Just make a commitment to push yourself a bit out of your comfort zone every day.

Late walk today (managed to find a gap in the showers).
Busy day. Looking forward to the weekend.
For all the Star Wars fans out there: "May the 4th be with you".
@RangerRickL. The post today is so true. Be happy with who you are. Just be you.
I am currently reading (listening) to a book on Cognitive Therapy. It discusses how a lot of people put themselves down and make themselves unhappy with self-critical thought.
Feelings are not fact.
Often self-critical thinking is fraught with errors. (discounting the positive, fortune-teller error, mind reading error, all or nothing thinking, labeling, etc..) The easiest way to expose these errors are to write down your thoughts. Then you have a chance to answer them. (This is grossly simplified from the book's content, but the essence of one of the self-help techniques to reduce the impact of self critical thoughts).
@w8goal4life. It is hard to track and keep active when travelling. A little planning goes a long way.
@lamlam2013. Hope your dad is much improved soon. Stress makes it hard to stick to plan.

Another full day today, but it's been fun.
It's also warmer here today, so made the most of it when I could.
My usual run this morning, a walk into town, then a doggie later in the afternoon. An early evening bike ride after tea for a couple of hours as finished my day nicely.
31,733 steps over 13 miles - I do love the sunshine!
Calories burned:-1273
Calories consumed:-1446/1590
I hope everyone has had a good day today.

Yes x 3 in spite of having dessert for lunch and a milkshake for dinner! I don't usually eat much sweet stuff but today was really weird. I did a ton of work cleaning the barn and fooling around with the horses, took a long walk, and had to drive people around too much. Crazy thunder storms tonight!7

Heh, heh, heh,
It don't get any better than this.
Went climbing this morning.
I got some PRs. Personal Records or Personal Best some say.
I go to a hill that I do my hill repeats on. On this hill I do two repeats and call it a day. A repeat is 1000 foot of climb in a bit over two miles.
I got the ambition of doing three repeats.
It takes me a shade less than 40 minutes to do an iteration of it.
Not exactly speed work. There are runners that are faster than I am.
The more I do it the harder it gets to PR. But I PR'd it on first iteration today.
I put a picture of a scatter plot on here to show you how subtle it is to beat an established average.
I ran my heart kind of tight, between 90 and 98%.
That's 80 minutes and more or less 800 exercise calories. No way I can get that from walking around the block. Just saying.
I got this gps fitness tracker watch. It records all of this stuff and uploads it to a web called Strava.
I can look at that Strava and see what kind of times my city's best athletes get on my segments. So I can have kind of an imaginary virtual competition. I know who the guy is who is King of The Mountain. But hey I am the old man of the mountain.
It don't get any better than this.
I spend some time most days with a little guy I call my little Buddy. We have lunch together. That is mostly me teaching him to use a spoon. Afterwards is recess. We walk for a while then find a place to sit in the sand. It is utterly sublime. @rangerrickl knows what I am talking about.
School is out in like 2 and a half weeks and I don't want to part with the little guy.
I fear that he is going to regress or backslide on the progress that we have made.
Lately the progress has just plain been amazing.
The little guy stood up off the floor! That is massive!
Hesitate to get too detailed about bathroom stuff but there has been incredible progress there. The little guy knows how to tell me and he ain't got words.
Weird, I know, but these are some satisfying days for me.
