So many soft foods are triggers for me - especially ice cream, which was my demtist’s first suggestion. I think cottage cheese might be healthier, but I get bored w it. Canned fruit is soft, but I don’t have juice pack on hand. Ideas for the next several days?

    Hi Trucker!

I really enjoy yogurt. I also enjoy mashed bananas and peanut butter. One of my favorite breakfast go to's is peanut butter on wheat bread with mashed bananas and sometimes some sugar-free preserves. I don't know if you're ready for peanut butter yet (kind of sticky  ).

Do you like soup? I make some mean soups in my crock pot and there is always plenty left over that I freeze. Quick to microwave and eat and I know that it's all healthy, unprocessed ingredients. That might be an option for you. Even creamy, store bought soups like cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, etc.

Oats are another breakfast go to for me and I like them really creamy with enough milk/water in it that I can basically drink it without even needing a spoon.

And protein smoothies (or any kind of smoothie) can give you an added boost and good nutrition any time of day.

Good luck. I know having teeth extracted is painful!

If you have canned soft fruit that is not packed in juice, have you tried rinsing it under water? That may wash off some of the sugars in the syrup. I love mashed bananas too. How about overnight oats?
