Summertime fun! 3 granddaughters in a horse water tank. Brand new tank so it is a perfect moment to use it. After 90 minutes, one granddaughter said,”Who needs a fancy inground pool when you have a horse tank.”
Hope you find your peaceful spot today!11 -
Today is this big garage sale. Part of me is like just stay home another part is like. There is this woman who downsizes her clothes she is a shopaholic. Everything is a buck last year I got my daughter 3 tops. It's like taking the very long way to my parents but probably worth it as I get roped into buying my daughter clothes for conferences all the time.
Yesterday at work a customer asked me about my husband said he hasn't seen him in the choir lately. I laughed and said that's my dad and he is now sporting a beard he is still there. My coworkers were dying.
Well I best be getting moving today is farmers market day. I always get mom and dad a treat from the lady who bakes from scratch. Last week was a peanut donut and a pastry heart. My dad is spoiled it started off as a 1 time thing that's turned into every Sat. He did go once himself but he didn't like what he picked.LOL6 -

Exercised?: Yes. 120 mins house cleaning (I will explain how this counts as exercise).
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Rainy day, but friends over for lunch. Spent morning cleaning the house.
Our house is 5 split levels (top is my studio; 2nd is daughters living area, house entrance and laundry; 3rd level is kitchen and main living area, 4th is wifes studio, 5th is master bedroom). The house follows the contour of the land and is on a 33 degree slope (2 stores below road level. To clean the house involves many trips up and down the length of the house. Was as over 7000 steps by midday.
Also wife is trying a Keto style change in eating (low carb, but no so low it is full Keto - this matches pretty well with my GF preference). It's not a diet as there is no expected end date. The reason for the change is to get the blood sugars under control (type 2 and on insulin). She is also using a calorie deficit to lose weight. This morning was the first time that her blood sugar has tested below 4mmol/L (70 mg/dl). I take this a REALLY positive sign. Before the change in eating habits it was never below 7.2 mmol/L (130 mg/dl). It is likely she can start reducing medication with the hope of being free of it all together.
@RangerRickL. Awesome photo. Glad you and the girls are having fun.6 -
Well I went to the infamous garage sale. I only bought stuff I love now I am kind of hoping my daughter does not like it. I got 1 sweater ,1 pair of capris and 6 tops and spent 14.00. All the proceeds go to the animal shelter. Definitely a win win.
Enos and I are walking tonight.5 -

✅ Exercised 53 minutes — 2.07 mike walk with dog on wooded trails. It was a beautiful morning! Aside from walk, on the move all day running errands and getting ready for a 4-day college visit road trip with my daughter. 11,238 steps as of this post
✅ Calories ⬇️ under 1350/1490 - I don’t eat back any of my exercise calories
✅ Tracked tracked 💯
This challenge will test me over the next 4 days. We will be traveling by car so a lot of driving but each day we have a walking tour of a college campus so I’ll get steps in. I measured and packed all kinds of fruits and veggies and even my oatmeal to make overnight oats each evening so I have a healthy breakfast each morning. Our goal is to minimize eating out and my goal is to stay focused and not have to use any of my pass days.3 -

@craigo3154 One of my friends, who is your age range, has been a Type 1 diabetic since he was diagnosed at age 12. Several months ago, he chose to adopt a Keto diet. It has dramatically improved his health. He has lost over 45 pounds; insulin use has dropped by 90%.
Based on his experience, I believe your wife is going to have profound positive outcomes.
If you want more specific information, please let me know. My friend, Jerry, is very enthusiastic about his results2 -
