I am having issues with my Blaze, I walk the same route everyday at lunch about 75 min 4 miles, but this week my Blaze is logging me in as anywhere from 3.5-4 miles, not sure what is wrong with it. Could it be because the weather is warmer & the sweat is making the miles inaccurate? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The connected gps seems to be off when it comes to tracking miles for some reason. My park I go to the trail is 3 miles. I've used endomondo, s health and other running apps and it all stay around 3 miles. However fitbit blaze always give me 2.7. It also says it take me over 13 minutes to run 1 mile while other apps say 11-12 minutes. So I don't know what to believe when it comes to that.

Just got my fitbit blaze and still trying to get my head around it. I do have a question tho I added 210 calories manually to my exercises diary for my work out at the gym, then my fitbit blaze promply put me in the minus so ending up losing all my exercise burned calories is this right. I have disconnected it for the moment till I know what is happening I worked hard to burn those calories :#

My fitbit user name is //www.fitbit.com/user/6VR4NH

Make sure you always separate what is doing what.

You added a workout to MFP I'm assuming, or Fitbit?

Where exactly did Fitbit put you in the negative - or do you mean MFP did on the Fitbit adjustment? (that's not Fitbit's handiwork, that's MFP doing that math)

Also, read the 1st section here a couple times to understand what's going on. 2nd section if you like math and want to really understand.

    http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10098937/faq-syncing-logging-food-exercise-calorie-adjustments-activity-levels-accuracy/p1

What likely happened is at the point in the day you logged the workout, you had not burned even what MFP expected you to at the activity level you selected - so the day looked negative.

Or you entered workout early in day, and then were more inactive than expected - so negative by the time you looked

Basic idea is - the MFP Exercise Diary entry for Fitbit adjustment is NOT a workout calories.

It's the difference between what Fitbit says you have burned so far it total (TDEE), and what MFP estimated you'd burn so far with no exercise based on your selected Activity Level.

You could have no workout and be very active and have big adjustment.
You could have a big workout and be very lazy otherwise and have neg adj.

And there is no need to manually add a workout on MFP - you are merely increasing the odds of a sync issue.
If you want friends to see a workout was done - just do a wall post with more details about it.

If you need to manually enter a workout that Fitbit would estimate badly for calories - like lifting or swimming - do it on Fitbit's site by entering a Workout Record. Use the Activity Record for the Start & Duration times if you started/stopped the workout on the device.

Fitbit has a better exercise diary anyway - most don't use MFP's.

Blaze user. Been syncing with MFP for a while now. Usually reliable (the FitBit more than myself) also using Health on iOS to aggregate metadata between them. Hello everyone.
