Sam, how is retirement life?
Well, Collin let his anxiety get to him, and he backed out at the last minute. Still no job. I am at a loss as to what to say, and what to do. Connie and I need to come up with a plan, but she is so focused on her mother right now, we are not getting there. Connie's mom is not doing well at all. She is down to 25% heart function, and 25% (stage III of V) kidney function. Hard to tell if we are nearing the end of the line with her, or if she is going to hang in there for another year or more.
I have started seeing a counselor again. That will help me.
We are back to sunny and hot in Kansas, but they promise cooler and rain by the weekend. I work in Missouri, and it is just as hot there.

Too bad about Collin. And also your MIL's declining health... a part of life, but always especially hard when it's one's mother, I think. Counseling's a good thing, at times.
Warm here, more rain again. Funny weather last 3 days--- pours one minute, then the sun comes out with sections of blue sky, then rain again, on and off all day. We needed the rain, though.
Bible study this morning. I've had breakfast and coffee at home already, so I can just not eat there, and avoid the cake/pie/muffin/tart/cookie/banana-bread table altogether.
DD flew out early this morning. Took her out to dinner last night at a Lebanese restaurant I'd never been to, and hung out with her afterward while she packed.

More warm weather the rest of the week. Expected highs in the low 90s and high 89s for the next 10 days. No rain in site. Getting fires all over the place, too.
Right knee is really bothering me, the last few days. Self-diagnosis is petella-quadricep syndrome. It makes it painful going up and down stairs. I should see a doctor about it. I suppose. Hoping it will just work itself out.

Steve, we use some oils for my DGS to help keep him focused and where he can deal with daily life, I must have had your e-mail on my work computer; you can e-mail me at samring@bellsouth.net or call (404) 427-2250 or get with Raine Ray she helped us come up with what worked and kept DGS off drugs.
Mike, glad you got to spend some time with DD, sorry it was not more.

Good Morning....so far. Of course, I have my coffee now but, it could all go south on me after that. I've been very positive and upbeat for a while now. Optimists generally drive me nuts so I am trying to find some balance in my life.
Steve, oils can do some amazing things when used properly. I have used them for achy knees, troubled lungs and for my frame of mind during my depression days. I would connect with Sam and check it out since he has some experience with areas of focus.
I am feeling the impact of a daily workout, especially the power walking with trekking poles. Just foam rolling and stretching today then it is back at it tomorrow. Heading to the Medical Center this morning to meet Heather who has an education session on diabetes which she was just diagnosed with. She is trying to deal with it through diet and weight loss and not do the injections. I do the cooking so I am hoping there is room for me to attend. If not I will hang out with one of the kids she takes care of whom she will have with her. I am not allowed to sneak out with her for ice cream at 9:30 in the morning. Seems unfair.0 -

Yeah Lee I got lost in the desert in Peru where we found many 19 to 30 million year old dolphins, whales, sharks and more. Even go to see a fossilized aquatic sloth. Have had a bit of time adjusting back home.

I thought about you Dave when I drove past JBLM and Madigan going to Seattle. Very slow going north and then they closed all lanes of I-5 where there is a junction going over to West Seattle. Sign said use an alternate route and suggested none. Oh well nice visit with DS in Seattle.0
