Enjoy those plants, Skip! I still have 2 plants from my DMIL's funeral (13 years ago) and a beautiful tree from my dad's funeral (9 years ago). Watering them is a moment to remember those people and how they impacted my life.

78-80 MPH - we get giddy if we hit above 30 around here. Gridlock in DC is abhorable!
Still playing catch up! DMIL/DW did a few things yesterday. Hoping to push them out to do more today and get them into a new routine / return to normal.

Slowly getting better. Less pain in body and less fatigue. Email from primary Doc last night said my liver values back to normal, and my C reactive protein is down to 20 (was 126!). C reactive protein is still high, not supposed to be over 8-10 but much improved. Bartonella (organism that causes cat scratch disease) PCR is still pending. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I was a little scared there for a while, not to mention a lot frustrated with the medical establishment.
Mary, I assume you all aren't pulling the RV that fast. 2:25 ain't bad for the weekend. I drive 1:45 to get to me favorite fishing spot for half a day.
Congrats to DS#1, Kelly. Hope breakfast with yer dad is better than expected.

Good morning BBB friends.
I'm bummed. I worked for three days on a little stool for my DGD. The legs fit in holes drilled through the seat at an angle, Wedges are then driven into the ends of the legs, to expand them in the hole and lock them in place. I got to enthusiastic driving in the last wedge and split the leg. The whole thing is now on the wood pile. Sigh. At least it was a good learning experience.
My fishing spot is an hour south, for the same half day, Lee. I'll drive three hours each way to get to a remote trailhead, though.
Setting up a Slip-N-Slide in the backyard for the grandkids, today. Sadly, the old guy won't be sliding down the hill. My knee still hurts pretty bad.0 -
Hump Day! and Im off Friday and Monday!
Heading to the lake Thurs night. We don't pull the rv back and forth, its a permanent hook up. It's on cement blocks now hooked up to the septic, water and electric. So now that we are set up and I brought yard chairs, tiki lights, grill up too etc. in utility trailer, its pack a bag and go... so nice. Yes, 2.25 hrs for a weekend of pre set up glamping is great. We need a boat though lol. Our neighbor friends take us around, I gave them a gas card last weekend, but still, I'd like our own pontoon. This weekend is just me & SO, and 2 friends that are renting a nearby cottage. I'm going fishin, even if its off the dock.
Yeap, I water our 2 girls - lilac shrubs (in honor of our Mom's) everyday, and think of them. My Mom also lately has been leaving me pennies, even last weekend at the lake I found one on the ground. Which was cool, because she'd come with us there when the boys were little and glamp with us.
DS2 turned 28 yesterday. Im having a surprise party for him 8/4, hope its nice weather, but will take Sam's suggestions of setting up in the garage too... just in case.
Hope everyone has a great day! Glad all are feeling better, getting blt's in, enjoying vac time, pool time, ride time, etc. Summer is already more than half over.
Business here is on the road to a slow death, so that's nawing at me a bit, but I shall go down with the ship and go from there. I can live on unemployment for a while, I'll figure it out. That container that just cost us $25,000 in tariffs to bring in, showed up with valves all damaged and busted up. So now we have a few more thousands of dollars in rework here, before we can ship. This is bad.bad.bad.

Good afternoon.
I didn’t get the invite. Didn’t make the cut. Reminds me of a retirement card.
Took my car up north to get fixed. I got a 4 cylinder spark. I feel like I need to “ flintstone it” and put my leg out to get it going. Ha ha.
Ok. I thought the same thing. Can’t you just make a new leg Dave? Or is it too stuck in? Maybe be able to chisel it out??
