Break room challenges at work

I often struggle with the break room because it's always a cake, cookies available!!! 😬😢. How do you tell yourself.... "No". Or do you give in?

Wow. I remember those days. I was just ok with my habits back then. Some days I had enough healthy treats on me that made me happy and did not break the bank to eat instead. Other days I fell, being tired, didn't care....Knowing what I know now and not being in that hard situation anymore and if I was back in it, I would still have treats with me and at home, too, waiting for me that fit into my calorie budget. I would budget with a spare 100 calories or so in case I really wanted something for the day from the break area. Right now the Luna chocolate caramel protein bar is a go to for a healthier treat, as well. Also I exercise early before work. Honestly that is a lot of effort, planning and work to pull off to blow the day with a bunch of treats (a lot of days anyways---I am definitely not perfect). Sometimes I would eat something from the break room that I really wanted. So what. I have decided that I really have to want things as they have to be worth it. I would eat a whole portion if I wanted. Sometimes I would cut a donut in half or take a bite of something and throw the rest away...I do that same approach at other picnics, gatherings etc. now I don't envy that break room.....but you will win the best you can.1
