    From Katie snow:

We made my mom’s brisket recipe this weekend, and I was reminded of how super easy and delicious it is. Thought I’d share. We don’t do the bbq sauce method but I keep thinking I should try it (although that’d add a lot of sugar and cals).

    Hickory Smoked Brisket

Place 3-4 lb beef brisket on large piece of aluminum foil. Sprinkle generously with 1/4 c of liquid smoke and 1/2 tsp each of: celery, onion and garlic salt. Wrap well and put into crockpot. Cover and cook on low 8-12 hours (high 4-6 hours). Serve with juices over each slice. Or, refrigerate overnight then slice thinly, place in crockpot and pour 1 1/2 c bbq sauce over meat. Cook 2-3 hours on high.
