Visiting a friend for dinner tomorrow night.
On my call home tonight my wife reported a non-scale victory. She has gone down a bra hook size. May not seem like a lot, but it is the first time when actively trying to lose weight that she has noticed a size significant difference.
She is also about 10 lbs lighter than her start weight in about 2 months and the daily blood sugar reading are in regularly in normal range even after reducing insulin intake. Looking for the OK from the doctors to reduce insulin dosage further.

Exercise today involved walking around in attempts to stay warm. I'm ready for summer and am not impressed that I appear to be living in the Antarctic rather than South Africa. I know our temperatures don't get as low as some places but we don't have central heating so there is not real way to get away from the cold. Luckily I have furry bed warmers (although they tend to cuddle so close that I have no space when they are this cold). Labrador on one side and Siamese on the other, under the covers. If they are on the same side, cat just wants to play and none of us get sleep, or I get pushed off the bed!11 -

@Dory_42 I'm jealous! It's too warm here in Canada and I can't wait for coolness. Wishing I could send you some heat. Or at least warm boots and pullovers!
Yes x 3 today - 25 minutes biking, workout of intense circuits and strength work, some walking. I have been on what I call UIF (unintentional intermittent fasting). I prefer not to eat before my morning workout but I'm staying at a hotel with family. They have eaten breakfast by the time I'm done with exercise and shower, so I don't get a meal until they're ready for lunch. It had been ok because I don't have to worry about quantity much in only 2 meals. There might be something to this IF thing!8 -
Yes x 3. 1 hr swim. I had a coffee with lunch and then slept poorly last night so I have to watch myself today this is a trigger for me - eating too much when tired.

Dinner out this evening with friends. Starved most of the day so calories would not exceed allowance. Fortunately, this isn't a daily occurrence as I don't like this approach to nutrition. I prefer 3 small meals a day with 3 additional light snacks per day so I have something to eat 6X per day at regular intervals of approx. 3 hours. It's a rather regimented habit I've acquired over time...but I do feel it is a healthy habit. At least it seems to work for me.
@craigo3154 Please extend my congratulations to your wife. It is a tremendous accomplishment she has made and a wonderful goal for her to reduce her insulin dependence. Every 10 pounds also usually equates to another size down in clothing, as well. So pleased she has noticed the difference and is encouraged. Would love for her to participate in UAC with us.
@Dory_42 I had to smile about getting "pushed off the bed." I'm the rare bird who likes to periodically change sides of the bed with my husband....and I don't always let him know I'm switching things up. There was one night he thought he was on one side of the bed (which he wasn't where he thought he was) and he rolled over to find himself on the floor!4 -
@w8goal4life You are always so complementary to your husband. Please be more careful with him. I hope Rose does not decide to start changing her sleeping habits after 45 years of marriage. I"ll be on the floor and in the hospital.
@craigo3154 Your wife's KETO diet is working. I'm very impressed with how rapidly her body is healing and using less insulin. Hurrah!1 -
