Another cool and rainy morning, strange for August, but a pleasant change from the heat.

Heading to church then nothing special on the calendar. Camping gear is sprawled all over living room and dining room and overflowing into kitchen, so maybe will try to cull the surplus and organize the necessities. No place to store things, so will give away excess, maybe to my kids.

Last two days I've been busy making/ cleaning/ fixing camping gear, and have not been snacking other than a piece of fruit. Lost 1/2 # each day. This week I was active 5 out of 7 days, according to fitbit, first time since I got it. Will keep the momentum going and should see weight loss results.

Stay safe all you out in fire areas.

    Mornin' gents.

Bad food day for me yesterday. Ate just over 3000 calories, yet only had 544 calories burned with activity. Back on the wagon today.

Mike, I'm enjoying the break in hot weather too.

Low pressure and threat of thunderstorms on the sound killed a trip to the salt today. DW is happy. She doesn't think I'm well enough to be out on the sound yet. Rest assured, I'm about 90%...still in search of diagnosis. Had xrays of hands, feet, and sacroiliac joints Friday. Blood work tomorrow, and then a MRI of persistantly swollen wrist next week.

Hoping DS#2 shows up tonight before he starts his fall semester. He is in NYC and uses the subways and trains to get around.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

We actually had some rain, yesterday; not a lot, but some. It will be back to sunshine and 80, today. The 10-day forecast shows nothing but sun and temperatures in the 80s and 90s.

Baked mac and cheese for supper, yesterday. Not very healthy, but the grandkids love it. Took them to a giant playground setup on Fort Lewis, yesterday. They had a great time for an hour and a half, before a rain shower hit and we had to bail out.

It's always good to try to simplify the camping stuff, Mike. DW has ours organized, but there is way too much.

    Good Morning!

Mike, way to go on the weight loss! Mine has been out of control the last several months, and I need to get back on track.

Speaking of getting the weight back on track, I made an impulse purchase yesterday of a homemade ice cream maker, electric. THAT ought to help me lose weight.

Our temps are still supposed to be in the 90s all next week, but we are supposed to get rain. We are still in extreme drought conditions here.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,
Feeling better, having to hold off on test, after leaving doctor last week we learn that our new insurance is not showing up yet; have rescheduled for 21st. Have e-mail stating there will be no lapse, hospital does not accept an e-mail.
    Congrats on loss Mike,
Steve, ice cream maker can help one lose weight if they fill canister with sand and bucket with gravel then use to hold overhead and do squats. When we do make ice cream we use low fat evaporated milk and skim milk; have not made any this year.
Lee, glad you are better; as we age we tend to heal slower.
Dave, enjoy grandkids; they grow up so fast.
Bill how is construction and remodel coming?
    Church in a few,
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

Good Morning! Rumor has it our temps might finally return to the 80's. We are skeptical. Since my back was a stiff mess yesterday, I calculated tile square footage so we can begin to order things for the bathrooms while they are on sale. Friday DW and I changed the floor tile to resolve our color wars. Of course, there still isn't enough room in the garage for it all, but now we will be motivated to ignore the heat and the back and finish up out there. What is remodeling without some stress?

Lee, thanks for the heads up on Gabapentin. I have been taking it for 3 years now and on max dosage for 2 years. That is how I was able to get out of bed and made it back to my office for the final 2 months of my career. I just got a 90 day supply in the mail on Friday. Tiny little pills. og9o7pv4x5p5.jpg
