I am currently training for My second half marathon.(Didn’t really train for the first) And I am wondering can I add more mileage to what’s in the plan.

Will it greatly increase your current (or very recent) mileage? The general rule I've always been told is add no more than 10% per week to your total distance.

What's the point in having a plan if you're not following it?

Don't know enough to be able to properly advise, but given other threads that you've raised questions on I'd probably advise against it. If you've selected a plan that's appropriate to where you are now then it should work without more miles.

I'd ask what's prompting the question? What's the current mileage and breakdown in the plan and which runs are you planning on adding distance to?

We definitely need more info! Why are you wanting to add more mileage? The training schedules work, and adding more miles could cause injury. If you are asking bc you are already running more base miles than it starts with you can start later in the program, but if you are asking because you are worried that they don’t have you run the full 13 miles or more than 10 etc you don’t need to worry, it’s a tested formula. You can also look for other training plans that fit what you like better there are different options and theories!
