I'm doing my second Spartan race in about 8 weeks. Totally unprepared this time, so I'm grinding out the training and dropping some weight. The first experience (a year ago) was great ... and I learned a ton. Glad to share with the group my take on the race and where I went right/wrong with training.

Im doing my first Spartan sprint in december. Started some weight training and cardio to get in shape, and already super excited! Any tips, hints, tricks, or things I need to know are appreciated!0

The number 1 mistake I made for my first spartan race was to not prioritize grip strength. I was in great shape for the race but did 120 burpees because I couldn’t do any of the monkey bar challenges. For this race, I’m doing a ton of grip exercises and will practice monkey bars, etc. a lot.1
