As a grandfather, I could not help but like this photo.
Here at our farm, it was a perfect weather day. After work for me and school for my granddaughter, Lucy, we were out at the barn and she was riding her horse, Charlie. It was great to see her enjoying the moments. Lots of smiles.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? No, and I won't be for at least a week
I managed to hurt my knee and from all, I've read it called Runners Knee which is funny because I don't run. It can even happen to people who are desk workers, which I am. I think I got my hurt knee from overuse. I had been walking on the treadmill every day for a few weeks and running in place while I watched TV at night to get in extra steps. Bad idea!! So, I have fought the idea of having to quit altogether but after yesterday when I rode my recumbent bike for 25 minutes my knee told me that I needed to listen to my husband and rest until it's ALL better.
I'm disappointed that I won't be in the winner's circle this month but I plan to continue posting every day and hopefully next month will see me in the Winners Circle!5 -

30 min swim, one hour dog walk!1 -
@TeresaW1020 Is it on the outside of your knee, the Iliotibial band? If that is the case, I have that problem too. The IT band irritation is inflammation due to imperfect alignment of the foot to hip structure and the tight fit of the IT band at the knee. It is caused by the excess stress from running; treadmill; biking and other repetitive leg movements.
Check out Youtube.com for a myriad of opinions about how best to treat.2 -

After a long night (4:00am) and early morning (7:00am), short work day (ended at 2:00pm) after which I went back to the hotel for rest.
5km walk before finding dinner. Was able to order dinner in broken Spanish without requiring the English menu (which for me is a big step).
All client presentations over so the time pressure is substantially less. 4 days of intense concentration trying to follow full speed Spanish business conversation was exhausting (was getting about 50%). I find reading (and writing) Spanish is far less exhausting as I get time to absorb what needs communicating.
I am also doing about an hours extra dedicated Spanish study a day to try get more up to conversational speed. I feel I am doing OK for only having started Spanish 6-7 weeks ago.

Pass day again. Life is crazy at the moment and not getting to everything. I logged nearly everything last night but then had chocolate milk which would have pushed me over my goal. I was DEAD after 5 hours of jiu jitsu in the day including some hectic wrestling and takedown practise, but my asthma kicked in bad (because I tried to push to the end of the round and let it get out of control) which left me with no energy at all.
The weekend is busy, but not much exercise so I can get a bit of a rest in and I have 4 days of work until my leave...3 -

Pass Day #1
Just really havenβt been feeling my normal self. I feel strong when moving, but weak otherwise. Slight headache, irritable (not like me), No temp, bp low.
So, Iβm exercising a little less, eating a little more. Thinking I need a mini-diet break? I need my energy back!

@peachpastries - your post from Sept 12 has kept me in this challenge... I had every intention of logging in and checking out of the group, but when I read your words regarding facing failure, acknowledging it without be defined by it, forgiving ourselves and moving onto a better next minute, I realized that was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for sharing your truth what you have learned along the way! You are in inspiration. I hope the storm has not caused you too much damage and that the interruption to normal life is minimal. Hurricanes are a disruption to life on so many levels!3 -

Good work! I just read your post from yesterday, and I admire you for keeping it real. Glad you're back on track!3 -
Pass day #2. I went back to work this week, and I took two pass days. I have to find a better way to cope with stress. Staying within my limits was easy when I was off work. Anyway, I logged it all, and I lifted weights at the gym. It was the wine that took my over the limit.3
