What does 'being awesome' mean to you?
To me, it means doing the best that I can do and not letting the little troubles/worries waste my precious time.

Working too hard at the moment but there's always more to do. Feels like it's impacting my home life and work-life balance isn't right so then I get mum guilt. Not managing my time to get great work outs in at the moment either so not feeling awesome right now but this too shall pass and life will improve I'm sure!

Crazy day! Luckily got a good sweaty workout done early. Then went to video my daughter and our friend the horse trainer working our 4 year old appaloosa who will now be for sale (sniff). Then we loaded him into a trailer for the 5 minute drive back home (just for the experience and to tell prospective buyers how well he loads and travels). All was fine until we unloaded him and he panicked a bit and left the trailer quite fast. It seemed like all was ok but my daughter (who was inside the trailer untying and guiding the horse) got her wrist compressed somehow and ended up with a pretty bad fracture. Surgery tomorrow morning to get it all put right. It will be ok - a lot of pain for a while there and she was in shock. They got it straightened up and immobilized so she can get through the night before seeing the surgeon in the morning at a different hospital. phew! All will be ok. and my food was tracked and under calories!6

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes - even counted out exactly 11 Doritos so that I could log accurately rather than grab a handful and give up a day! Yay, ME!

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Not even close, even after exercise and yesterday's large deficit carried over .... but it IS my 60th birthday, and the restaurant provided a complimentary birthday cake (with two forks) .... and I DID bring half the prime rib AND half the baked potato home for tomorrow's supper ....
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes - was scrupulously honest,and the restaurant items were all found in the MFP database!

I've begun the transition from warm weather to colder weather exercise. Today, I did 30 minutes of active stretches followed by 10 minutes of Every Minute on the Minute jump rope skips (averaged 72 skips each round); then a 15 minute walk on treadmill.

I don't quite feel awesome, but I feel decent about myself when I'm able to keep my cool. My job can be stressful, and I'm working on keeping grounded and balanced. It's a skill, and I'm learning and improving on it.4 -
