Most of us are tracking our calories; exercising consistently, and maybe even more, but, are you getting enough sleep? I'm not...
Best wishes,
Rick

@RangerRickL wishing you some Zzzzz's. @craigo3154 could probably also use more rest. I'm off to get some Zzzzz's myself.3

Well, I have had 5 hours of sleep constantly for three years in a row until my schedule changed and right now I can have 7, sometimes even 8. Can you believe I'm jet-lagged? I keep on waking up at 3.45 am even if my schedule has changed months ago.
So I can definitely say sleep matters and screwing up with it is no joke.6 -
I didn't post for the past two days?
I guess... I was declaring my 4th day pass and it was a downer. But it was a choice. I still had a dry cough and runny nose and thought I'll eat a bit more, taken my medicine and completely rest.

My sleep is horrible. I have insomnia!. It's driving me crazy! My over the counter medication is not working anymore. Now I take Trazodone and it is not working anymore either. Sleep means everything to me. Luckily my job I can adjust my schedule if I go too many days without adequate sleep.

I'm pretty good on getting enough sleep. I've had extra in the last week to recover from travel and flu which is also one reason I skipped this mornings workout. I grabbed an extra hour sleep! Although I did not exercise today, I did look after my body by having my monthly sports massage. It was due last week but we delayed because of my illness. I find that and weekly yoga really helps keep me training hard, so they have become important parts of my routine.
I logged all my food and came under even if it wasn't always the best choices. Lunch with my friend and my sports massage person giving me their latest whey protein bar to try didn't help choices. The bars are amazing but around 400 calories each so generally I only use them for competition days (they are perfect for that!)
Getting up early for 5:30 gym session tomorrow so heading to sleep now!5 -
Fitbit says I get about 6-7 hours sleep, seems to be enough for me, I do find I sleep better if I have walked that day
Exercise yes 10 min quigong, 50 min yoga, 60 mi cleaning, 60 min walk, 20 min evening quigong a new one for me quite enjoyable

Feels good to get back onto this and the tracking, otherwise things can slip. Generally I get good sleep as I am less functional in every way without it. Big storm kept me awake last night though.4 -

I usually sleep well. I am not a worrier (my wife does enough of that for both of us). Matthew 6:34! I’m retired so I have the luxury of making my own schedule. The only thing that disturbs my sleep is the frequent trips to the bathroom that are the lot of many guys my age. That and occasional aches and pains. Sorry if that’s ‘too much information’ 😮4 -

I ended up eating for dinner, so I'll use a cheat day. I did do several walks today and logged my food.4 -

Exercise? Yes...but I was definitely not in the mood for it. Had such a wonderful trip which, ironically, was followed by a flu shot...and then a sore throat and cold immediately following. I did make myself do 20 minutes of indoor YouTube aerobics and 5 minutes of stretches...no more, and no less. I swear...you can go into a doctor's office very healthy and come out sick 15 minutes later!

I slept in a recliner last night, keeping head elevated to ease congestion...and then went to bed this morning and got up at 1:30 this afternoon. That is definitely not the norm for me, though.
I was so looking forward to a visit I scheduled with my former employer who had been in the hospital and rehab for the past year and 9 months. He finally made it back HOME!!!! Yeah!!! Had to cancel the visit I scheduled with him for Monday because I could tell I was coming down with this cold and simply could not risk passing it on to him. I am so pleased he is home, though; and will reschedule my visit as soon as I am 100% sure I won't be passing anything contagious to him.4 -

My report:
Exercise: as I transition back to cold weather exercise, I have to create a new habit of discipline. Had great workout this morning: 20 minutes of active stretching and then 45 minutes of cardio/strength intervals. I'm a bit sore, but happy.
Tracking: good
Calories: big margin below personal limit.3 -

Went over in calories today I'm pretty sure. I might have done enough exercise to offset it but can't be sure of what I burned, so I'll take the pass.2 -
Yes 3x. 30 min walk2

Forgot to sign in last night! Yes x3 yesterday including a lovely walk through a small pocket of rainforest near my city that I had no idea existed!
WRT sleep, I usually get between 7 - 7.5 hours. I try so hard to crack the magic 8-hour barrier but it rarely happens. I often get up at 5am to go to the gym before work, but it's hard to get everything done in the evening to be in bed by 9pm!2 -
