Help Wanted - Classics Challenge 2018

Okay folks - here's the thing. I'd LOVE to promote the Classics Challenge again this year, BUT after last year it became clear that I didn't have time to do the Ride Announcements, the "back story" of the Race behind the ride, Ride the event myself AND do the results.
So, not riding is not an option, and I've pretty much already got the back stories "on file" so it's better for me to keep them than let someone else have to cobble it together again. Which leaves the results.
Since the demise of Cycleagues, we're back to manual submissions and entries into a spreadsheet.
Google Sheets seems to be probably the best option - in that it's easily shared "read only" to everyone in the challenge, but one or more users can have read-write-edit priv's as well...
So - I need a couple (or more) volunteers who can undertake to compile the results into a spreadsheet - I can make last year's sheet available to whoever's doing it for them to use as a starting point - or, they can scrap it alltogether and go their own way - i'm easy, but, I really don't want to have much input to the sheet other than helping define what needs to be recorded in terms of distance, position scores and bonus points.
So - who's up for it... you're chance to put a little back into the group.
Don't take this on lightly - it takes up a surprising amount of time over the course of the challenge (which is why I was suggesting a couple of people minimum - in case anyone drops out or is busy on a particular week...)

I can help with updates but I can't do it by myself. I can't ride the challenges but if it would help for me to do updates, I can do that.1

Mark - I'm happy to volunteer for the spreadsheetery (might actually give me enough of a kick in the *kitten* department to get some automation off the ground) - I'm unlikely to be riding many/any weekends this year, so there will (sadly) be precious few ride/update conflicts1 -

so I've a couple of willing victims volunteers for the spreadsheets...
next question - are we running it all through this forum, or over on facebook?
I do like the event thing and the reminders on facebook, but basically this forum has died on its arris since we moved most of the things over there, and it seems something of a shame.

okay then - as the bulk of the rides are actually loaded into the events calendar over in Gears Steers and Cheers, I guess we'll go in that direction.
I've had a look at the spreadsheet - i'd strongly recommend using Google Sheets again - mainly because i've already got a template taken from the end of 2017's sheet...

Now, for those of you who've volunteered to do the amendments - PM me, and I'll add you to the "edit permissions list" - I'll stay on there as well, so I can at least enter bits and bobs, or help out if the file gets broken - but the day-to day stuff will be yours (including posting the results post-event) if you sign up to it...

can't believe that the Classics have now come and gone for 2018.
Big thanks to everyone who rode, and even bigger thanks to Steve for actually doing all the heavy lifting and turning my initial framework of a spreadsheet into something far greater than it'd ever been.
Hopefully we'll be going again in 2019.
