Before you ask one of our most frequently asked questions, which is "Do you eat back your calories?"
Here is my answer: Based on running the UAC for almost 3 years, ONLY YOU can be the decision-maker. Years ago, when I joined Weight Watchers, I learned that we can eat any kind of food so long as we tracked it and kept our Points. In addition, I personally choose to eat back some of my exercise calories because that is my built-in motivator to have the self-discipline and reward of lots more exercise.
But,
Others do not eat back their exercise. On the other hand, the mega-exerciser, marathoner, serious athlete, must eat back their exercise calories.
In other words.....you decide.
Nonetheless, if you do not track and limit your caloric intake....you WILL NOT lose weight.
In the UAC, some are focused on weight loss and some are focused on maintenance.
It's your body, love it, use it, and measure your own results!

Exercised?: Yes (Drone track setup and packup).
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Drone race today so out active for most of the day.
Flew OK today during the heats. Had to fly off to make final, then flew well in the final and finished third. This should, on points, give me to win the division for the season, but it yet to be officially announced.
Being FPV, I recorded my video feed from the goggle. Will post a link if anyone interested.
Also went out to visit a friend tonight that is having a rough time. Was there to be a friend just by being there and listening. Sometime we all need someone to just care and take the time to listen.
@RangerRickL. Well said. You decide your goals, you decide how to get there and how long it will take.
It's the old, you cannot consistently out-exercise a bad diet.
Anyone easily consume calories faster than they can expend them. The trick is not to.6 -
Exercise - 2h15 mtb ride / 1h30 sup
Calories - yes
Tracked - yes
Talk about unplanned stuff...so I had a planned route for my ride but found out that had been taken over for the day by a boar hunting team, if that was not enough it was so foggy you couldn't see beyond your nose. Had to come up with a completely different route.
Then I went out paddle boarding for the uni, directed to precise coordinates where I was sure I'd find what I was looking for a aaand...no. Absolutely nothing. Ended up finding it exactly where I'd never consider looking.
All in all not a bad day though.5 -

Down 2 lbs could just be water weight but the scale hasn’t budged in a long time so extra motivation.

Day 3 SIT-REP:
Exercise: one person flight, half hour walk. Atrocious, and I can feel it
Calories: Over, due to dehydration and not eating during the day in the sun. Mostly whole foods, though, so I could have done worse
Tracking: I sure did! I'm constantly surprised at how one handful of dried fruit is so, so, so overloaded on sugars and not-friendly things.
Today, I'm on the road preeeetty much all day. I'm hoping, therefore, to stay hydrated and use it as a fast day (start of Day 4; I'm from the future here Down Under - we're a day ahead) and hopefully some foam rolling when I get home because tomorrow...oh man, tomorrow... tomorrow will be my first day back in a gym for nearly a fortnight, and I'm going to be doing 1RM strength testing for bench press and potentially squats... I'm so excited/nervous, I've missed it SO MUUUUUCH.4 -
I will be taking my first pass day this month.
I'm the ministry assistant at my church and there are six of us total on staff. The pastor took us all, including our spouses to a place called Top Golf where we played golf (sort of ) and ate wayyy too much food for two hours. Then one of the ladies organized a cooking dessert contest where we were split into three times, given $25 and 20 minutes to shop for our ingredients. Back at the house, we had 45 minutes to make our desserts. Our team had to use an ice cream maker, cinnamon and couldn't use any measuring devices. We planned to make pumpkin ice cream sandwiches with a cinnamon dipping sauce but it turned into a pumpkin milkshake with a cookie crumble. It was a great day but I am way too full!6 -

So happy to be back with the group. Had some health issues that kept me away for a couple of months
@w8goal4life enjoyed your pictures. Looks like fun!!
@RangerRickL for me it depends on how active I am. I try never to use over half of my exercise calories. Sometimes the extra ones I earn allows me to add a treat now and then so I won't feel too deprived. Glad to be getting back on track. As always it feels so good to be a part of it. Thanks!4 -

@Turbolifts dried fruits are a total diet killer. I didn't realize. I was sooo tempted to eat some dates yesterday but I absolutely cannot eat just one. I still can't believe one tiny date is 65 calories!
