Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans here. Definitely worth a pass day!
Exercise - 2h cycling repeats on home trainer / 1h gym cross training
Calories - yes
Tracked - yes
Physio last night went well, she said we should be pretty far along in fixing my injuries and today I feel like I can confirm...I'm sore not in pain. Hey this is progress!4 -
It was -25 C (-13 F) windchill when I came to work this morning (I am in Canada - we had our Thanksgiving in October - shorter growing season) ... I am finding all these harvest pictures rather misleading .... (LOL)
But seriously, Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating it. It is a special time.5 -
Exercise - Yes. 3 mile walk, a bit sluggish.
Calories - yes... Thanks to the 3 miles above! I had prelogged as usual and then a friend who came to stay for a few days brought some scones... I never make them; they are quite calorie intensive when I checked. She plans to make some lemon ricotta pancakes for me tomorrow. So (lol) I plan to walk 5 miles tomorrow
Tracked - yes
Happy Thanksgiving to the (US)Americans. If you are having pecan pie and pumpkin pie think about me. That's what I miss the most about Thanksgiving Day in AL.5 -

Happy thanksgiving to all those who celebrate4 -
The USA Thanksgiving was begun during the most contentious time in our history. That was during the middle of civil war in which our citizens divided into two opposing forces and killed each other. During that horrible time, President Abraham Lincoln was the legally elected president for the entire country, but not the elected president of those who had declared the right to secede from the United States. Battles raged and we were a broken land and people. Nonetheless, Abraham Lincoln penned the words below to call all people to be thankful for their blessings.
Washington, D.C.
October 3, 1863
By the President of the United States of America.
A Proclamation.
The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequalled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defence, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.
Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the United States the Eighty-eighth.
By the President: Abraham Lincoln
William H. Seward,
Secretary of State

Exercise? Yes 30 minutes Leslie Sansone
Calories? No...didn't count but with multiple desserts, I know I'm well over. Went into T-Giving needing to gain a pound or two as I was at the lesser weight in my healthy weight range, so not feeling guilty about not keeping track today.
Tracked? No, this was an intended pass day shared with family. Today makes pass #2 for the month
Chilly ride home from T-Giving dinner (single digits in Fahrenheit...which is well below zero for those of you in another hemisphere). Back to routine tomorrow!4 -
@RangerRickL, Thanks for that history lesson!! I never knew that and I hope you don't mind but will copy and post it on my Facebook wall. Happy Thanksgiving and God bless you!!
I will be taking my third pass day due to some slight overindulgences with stuffing, wine, and pie!!5 -
Happy Thanksgiving to all in America!
I'm taking a planned pass day today. I had a great workout this morning and actually ate healthy choices all day. I just didn't feel like spending the time to track it today. Rather spend all the extra moments with family!5 -

No, no and no. An intentional.pass day (#2
.. and hopefully the last for this month)
That said, I was very pleased with how I was able to handle Thanksgiving. No.doubt I was over in calories, but not ridiculously so. I ate everything, but in very moderate portions and no seconds. Hopefully my at my morning weigh in my scale will appreciate my self-restraint. Back on plan tomorrow!!

yes x3 running for 24 minutes and walking for forever. Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans. If you live in Canada, throw out your lettuce. We get our lettuce from the US, so it could be contaminated.5

The first official, annual Thanksgiving in Canada was celebrated on 6 November 1879, though Indigenous peoples in Canada have a history of celebrating the fall harvest that predates the arrival of European settlers. Sir Martin Frobisher and his crew are credited as the first Europeans to celebrate a Thanksgiving ceremony in North America, in 1578. They were followed by the inhabitants of New France under Samuel de Champlain in 1606. The celebration featuring the uniquely North American turkey, squash and pumpkin was introduced to Nova Scotia in the 1750s and became common across Canada by the 1870s.4 -

It's a Pass Day for me. I'm sure that I am over, but this was no blow-out day. I enjoyed what I ate and did not have seconds, except for my beloved red wine.

My Big News!!
I dipped below my Goal Weight on Thanksgiving!!! So thrilled ~ it was even s little emotional ... I guess I wasn’t sure I’d really get there after the past two months of broken arm, surgery, medical tests, and two weeks of smoke-filled skies. I persevered.
The night before, I entered my weights at dr appts since June 2010 into my weight tracking app... here is that graph.
Simply a miracle. 🙏🏻 and UAC has been a Huge Part of my Success.
