Lots of people say that they want to reach some goal. Until they commit to do the daily work it takes to reach that goal in a step by step manner, their goal is merely a wish.
The UAC is your step by daily step accountability group to achieve your goals!
Don’t be part of the 50% who quit this group before the 15th of the month!12 -

Exercised?: Yes (3.5km in 30 mins semi-hills).
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Got walk in while waiting for daughter at skating.
Home TV taken out by lightning strike on the house last night round 1:00am. No gap between lightning and thunder. It's loud when it's that close. Looks like it damaged the control board through the HDMI input (TV was not on at the time, internal power fuse not tripped, home power fuses not tripped either).
Fortunately I do not watch a lot of TV (maybe an hour a day, mostly video games, movies or documentaries as distraction. News headlines I get online). However, it will need to be replaced soon for sake of family harmony.
To echo the comments of @RangerRickL. Unless you work a little at it each day, goals will slip away from you.
This challenge, on the surface, looks easy. Only once the habits are entrenched does it really BECOME easy. What the 50% that fall away by mid month find is that entrenching habits is hard. However the result is WELL WORTH the effort.
Let UAC help you make the right habits, then let the habits make you.

It's only 8 lbs how hard can that be?
I am finding out!! I am 9.6 pounds from goal and each ounce seems to have become a real struggle. I would love to see goal by Feb too. First goal, though, is to survive December festivities without going in the wrong direction!
It looks like there are several of us in this boat! Let's grip our paddles and get there! Party in February!12/1A
I’m working on the last 8 pds also, so I’ve super “tightened up” my logging lately. Don’t know that I’ll get there by February, but whatever I can lose before our trip to Hawaii in mid-Feb would be great!
Me too!
I’ve set an easy schedule for myself, so I feel I am succeeding, not falling behind! If I lose faster, great! If not, I’m
Still building habits & slowly easing into maintenance!
1 lb every 3 weeks will get me to my Ultimate Goal Weight by March 17th or April Fools Day at the latest!!
When I realized maintenance will still be tracking, exercising, and monitoring caloric intake, I realized the more practice I get, the better!
Glad there are a bunch of us! It’s amazing how much our bodies change now with each lb lost!!! Feels like we’re sculpting ourselves !!! ♥️
I look forward to encouraging each other & celebrating whenever we each reach our Ultimate Goal Weight! I read today that regular support & encouragement was key for individuals to maintain their full weight loss. I am glad we have each other & UAC!!!
My target WAS 140 (currently lower 145.X's so probably by end of Jan at my current fairly-steady 3 lbs per month rate) but I'm now thinking of lowering the mid-to-upper end of my target maintenance goal range a bit more after all ... so maybe by end of March I will be there too ....6 -

@craigo3154 Hope your TV is in working order/replaced soon. We have had the wet well pump for our septic zapped by lightning in the past. Not fun...and unexpected expense.
@trimi1104 Your dedication and enthusiasm for exercise/training is commendable...an inspiration for all.
@TerriRichards112 Love your daily accomplishments for exercise. I should do better.
@am_change Just start, again, tomorrow. We're all rooting for your success!7 -

Arrived at Disney World in Orlando, FL. I am here with Rose. The last time that I was here with here without kids or grandchildren was when I graduated six months early from law school in 1983. Rose & I celebrated here without our children ( we did not tell them that we were here without them). They had my sister as their sitter for several days.
Exercise: hours of walking at a strolling pace.
Tracking: good
Calories: below my limit8 -
Whew! Made it past my first holiday gathering, thanks to exercise (40 minutes on rowing nachine, 45 minutes pool exercise and 50 minutes on the horse). Tracked everything.

Yes, yes, yes. More outdoor time with the kids. Went sledding and I made a point of running back up the hill each time.7

Exercised? Yes. Only walked, though (50 min, 6000 steps) because my legs were so sore from the extra activity I did yesterday considering it's been over a month since I worked out beyond 1+hr walks.
Calories? Yes. Closer than yesterday and unfortunately went over my carbs (so sad but I really wanted my chai latte while cafe reading. Lesson learned and I'll just go to the local chain with regular 0cal tea like I did yesterday)
Tracked? Yes.
Also I've been looking into Keto again to pair with my 20:4 intermittent fasting. I'm ovo-vegetarian (just not eating meat or dairy, but I do eat eggs), but it looks pretty doable. I'm just going to eat up the foods I have in house (they're not junk, just too high of carbs - like my love of corn and fruits) until the holidays start and then the time off work for holidays will be great to help manage things like possible keto flu. I'm just excited for this idea and I don't post anywhere other than here right now.6
