And here is my first ever Bruce Lee post. The point is this...everyone (including you doing this to yourself) says,"If you just had more willpower, then you would not be ______________________________________." Fill in the line with such words a 'lazy, fat, unsuccessful, etc." It's a false idea and an unnecessary guilt burden.
My thesis is "If you choose a mentor with successful habits and then develop those habits, then you can change your life in positive ways. Willpower becomes a secondary support to good habits."
The UAC is all about thoughtfully developing great habits that lead to success and good health. Stick with us as you develop and maintain those habits!!

The statement "if you had more willpower" is a trap, sounds like willpower is something you are born with. It also provides a comfy excuse, I don't have willpower so alright I'll have the whole box of cookies. Truth is we have all the willpower in the world when the target is something we really want, when it really matters to us. If we don't, it simply isn't our priority.
This goes with me and my Spanish, I'd have liked to keep on studying it, but I didn't really want it, or I'd have done it.
As for today
Exercise - 17k something run (hill repeats and progressive run) / 1h40 sup on the new board
Calories - yes

I totally agree,if you want something bad enough will power is secondary because you will reach your goal regardless
3 x Yes from me today5 -
Yes x 3 for today.
I don't buy into having or not having willpower because it will always fizzle out. I believe in commitment and in obedience. I struggle with both but the ownership is on me and not on an elusive feeling.4 -

Yes x 3 (barely!) for today, yesterday was a pass day with a lovely solstice party. Every year a few of us women go to a grove of really ancient maple trees on the land of our friend. We build a fire and talk about what is ending, beginning, or just happening, about our hopes and challenges. Then we go inside, get warm, and eat, of course!4

Exercise? Yes, 40 minutes indoor low impact aerobics.
Calories? Within allowance. Close today as we went out for pizza with friends for dinner. Limited myself to 1.5 pieces of plain pizza and no snacks today.

It is indeed amazing. Each time it happens! But luckily, one really good day makes it right again, too.1 -

Yes x 3
I’m learning that if I exercise a LOT more or leave a large calorie deficit, then I go out to eat... so, for me, I think I need to keep those values more constant on a daily basis, as eating out doesn’t meet my personal nutrition goals — and I actually don’t feel well afterwards.
I am extremely grateful for all of you and UAC!!
