Body is fighting off an infection (tonsils are up). Taking it easier. Slower walk today.
Was bother-in-law's birthday today (39th), went out for lunch.
Easy day tomorrow. Holidays on Friday.

Exercise - 15k run + 1h surfing

Oh dear. And I complained I was cold yesterday? Could barely feel my hands today despite the gloves. Definitely not going surfing tomorrow until it warms up at least a few degrees.3 -

My exercise today was spending 7 hrs on my feet at work! !3 -
I M P O R T A N T R E A L I T Y C H E C K F O R A L L !!!!!
Our Really Big Meal was on the 23rd (and NOT a pass day)
Actually broke even on the 24th daily weigh-in ... no giant meal on the 25th, but- weighed in by 9:30 a.m.
- "pancakes / bacon / quiche brunch " (in single reasonable sized serving) around 10:30 a.m.
- thick home-made turkey&veg&barley soup around 7:00 p.m.
- 15,534 steps (337 calories burned) over 109 minutes (not precisely super-intensive but still 33% MORE burned than the 23rd)
- AND slept in this morning (Boxing Day) till after 11:30 a.m. so daily weigh-in was more than 2 hours later than the day before.
And I STILL was up over a pound this morning .... I am figuring it is a combination of just plain bulk moving through my system plus salt from the two hand-fulls of raw pecans( # gms unknown) and random Dorito nibbles ....
So don't let one day throw you ..... the body CAN'T create over a pound of fat over night (takes 3500 calories per pound, over and above what would keep you alive if in a comma, remember) ..... just get back into normal routine, and your system will process and auto-correct within a matter of days.
It's the people who see a single "morning after" as a signal to "why bother - can't do this - may as well eat the ENTIRE party sized bag of Doritos myself" and let that mindset stick around for weeks and months who regain the weight / never shed much in the first place.
At the end of the day, I will post how my Boxing Day exercise / calories / logging went .5 -
Hello all you beautiful, strong people I hope everyone had a safe, peaceful Christmas (or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa.. or whatever else you celebrate) this month. For me it went so well, I'm actually so shocked how well we pulled it off. My family and I got so much done for the holidays these past 3 months and I'm so relieved it's finally over lol. I slept so hard last night cuz I finally had nothing to feel anxious for
I've definitely exceeded my Pass Day limit and I already had the feeling I wouldn't make it to the winner's circle from the very start and just went with it. I could've/should've made healthier choices and now I'm gonna have to make up for it the next couple months cuz I can't/don't want to drop the ball in 2019. I joined January's UAC and I can't wait to redeem myself & prove I can stick to my plan & goals and fight the bad, unhealthy urges. Especially during the rest of the cold, icky season where calorie-dense comfort foods are everywhere in a sea of fat burner pill commercials LOL.
So proud of everyone else doing so awesome during this challenge, those that have stuck to the challenge and stayed on track during the holidays are tough as hell and show me I still have much to learn and work on and it makes me more determined to conquer the new year with better habits. Y'all rock, I hope you all have an amazing 2019
I'll see y'all next month (next year technically) ✌️4 -
Time is flying!
It feels good to be back to eating more normally today - usually there is nothing with gluten in the house since my husband has celiac disease, but for the past few days there has been cardamom coffee bread (have to make that every Christmas!), cookies from friends (I forgive them!), and other indulgences. I still have a piece or two of coffee bread to finish, but I'm back to lots of vegetables and lighter meals. I had a huge walk in the woods, and have tracked. I'll still be a bit over today. I'm sticking with the UAC even with too many pass days, and will be back on the straight and narrow very soon. Enjoy the last few days of the year!5 -

Calories? Within allowance.
Tracked? Yes
Good to get back on track until the next holiday arrives!2 -
Still no water today. Most plumbers are not open on Boxing Day. So I distracted myself from that big problem by taking on some huge cleaning and organizing projects. 6 hours of cleaning and moving furniture and hauling out trash. Plus shovelling and many many trips up and down the stairs. I am exhausted! Big check mark for exercise and well under calories. Looking forward to bedtime.3

Today was day #1 of tracking while my in-laws are here. So far so good.3 -
Good news is that our extended family gathered at my sister and brother in laws for another family gathering. Great time was had by all.
This was a wonderful event and we were guests. No tracking and I'm sure I am over, but I'm not sad. It was a great family relationship time.

Yes x 3
I joined UAC in April, nine months ago. The first month was difficult, and most of the rest I had 2-3 Pass Days. This month, I decided to try to get no pass days! So far, so good! #grateful

Pass day for me. I'm already out of the winners circle, as I had expected. But I decided to keep on with the group and jump back into careful tracking and eating. Good to see all the upbeat postings!2

12/24, 12/25, and 12/26 are all pass days. Good food and socializing all 3 days. Developed a cold on the 26th, so no exercise for the next few days. I am back to tracking and controlled eating! Multiple pass days for me during December, but I expected as much during a holiday month. I think I’ll get myself signed up for the January thread, cause I need the accountability.
