Yay! A 3x yes today. Good big hike with a friend out in the beautiful cold and bright sun. Food back on track. Tomorrow saying goodbye to our youngest horse who will be moving to his new home with a wonderful family. He is a four year old foundation Appaloosa, and one of the sweetest horses I have ever known. He has a great temperament, and will certainly make his new people happy. We will miss him! We first saw him at less than one week old, and he has been with us since 5 months old when his mother died and he was weaned early, poor little feller. He has thrived and is a 16-hand beauty now. He still thinks he's just a wee thing, but is finally really growing into his frame. One last chance to spoil him tomorrow morning.4

OK... this Granny is beat. Spent a couple of hours today volunteering to sort unused medical supplies and packing them for shipment to underdeveloped countries. Came home only to spend another 4+ hours in the kitchen preparing tomorrow's lunch for friends who will be headed back to FL on Saturday. Made Chef Fabio's Italian meatballs, a spaghetti squash casserole...and tomorrow I'll put together a salad to go with it. Also, made some cream puffs for dessert. Haven't made them in years. While I had a very active day... I didn't feel any of it really counted as exercise...so I still completed 20 minutes power walk with a Leslie Sansone video. I should sleep well tonight.
Exercise? Yes, 20 minutes Leslie Sansone.
Calories? Within allowance.
Tracked? Yes
Only 4 more days until the new year and a new 2019 UAC monthly challenge for January! Thank you to all of my team mates electing to continue this journey. So very pleased to have company. It wouldn't be a challenge without you! I look forward to your participation and the comments shared.
@jugar Thank you for sharing the history behind your 4 year old Appaloosa. Nice he had a caring "surrogate" to nurture and encourage his development. You must have done a great job!
@jan110144 I share your sentiments about being ready to move on from 2018 to 2019.5 -
Yes x3 today. Still no water. Plumbing problems are no fun! Well under calories and strength training.4

My exercise has been impacted by a sharp pain at the L4/L5 lumbar vertebrae caused by a almost unmentionable exercise activity...shoveling horse manure and dumping the horse poop from a two wheel cart. Unfortunately, I tried to lift an overfill two wheel cart full of horse poop and my almost 69 year old back decided to do the 'twist'.
Chiropractic visits have been helpful, but the chiropractor says that If I don't get better soon, I need to stay home to take more therapy. We are supposed to start for Phoenix, AZ this Saturday. We shall see what happens.
I'm only allowed to walk...no stretching.
Today was 3 yeses.
