    Good Morning BBB.
    Happy New Year!!!
This was the first New Year's Eve that Tom and I were not together. We "kissed" at 10pm over the phone.
I started to watch the series Homecoming on Amazon Prime with Julia Roberts. Interesting.
We are expected to reach a record high today (85°) - and the warm weather will continue until Friday then back to normal - high 70s. I'll take it!
    Grey 2 tank working!!
Sam - I hope you are feeling better. Did you end up entertaining last night?
Lisa - I'm with you - I love the decorations and also love it when they are put away.
Kelly - I don't get days off either so that is why I make sure to take bits of time when I can.
Steph - Super that you gave stuff to the Airman (woman) - we gave most of out stuff to Veterans Closet - they provide everything from clothing to furnishings to veterans in need.
Bill - how was your dinner?
    Do good out there everyone.

    Happy New Year BBB!

Yep, in bed asleep by 9 pm.

Hope you are getting better, Sam. " peas, collards, sweet potatoes, crackling cornbread and hog jowl" sounds like my kind of New Year's Day meal. My momma was a southern gal.

Glad your valve got fixed, Raine.

Rained all night, currently 40ish, and now wind supposed to whip up. Might hit 50 today.

    Good morning BBB friends.

Stayed up until 12:15 a.m. and still woke up at 4:30. That internal alarm clock is such a pain.

DW took leftover pie dough from the pecan pie I baked for Christmas, and apples from our freezer (from our mini orchard_ and baked up a fantastic pie, so that was our New Years celebratory treat, rather than champagne.

Our Christmas decorations have another five days to go. The church calendar celebrates Christmas for 12 days (hence that annoying song about partridges and lords a leaping), so that's when our lights go off and the decorations get taken down. I guess we just like to ho, ho, ho more than most.

    Morning~

Made it to a NICE dinner w/ DW and DMIL. Caught a bit of the Oregon game on in the background - thought of you SGM.

Today is a lazy day. Should try to convince DW that we should take down the tree. We'll see.

Bowl Games at Hooters later I think....

Lisa - how was Annabelle's party?

    Happy New Year, friends!

    Happy New Year!!!!
Only have two couples coming over for lunch much smaller group this year.
No resolutions that way I have none to break,
Lisa the medication they wanted to give conflicts with heart meds; told to wait and talk to cardiologist, I'll be fine provided fever doesn't go over 100; did tell me to increase pain meds I have for arthritis for pain, no they can become addictive.
Apple pie sounds good, but we have basically given up sweets; two cakes, two pies and four bins of cookies still sitting around; we'll toss tomorrow. Kids did not eat like usual and did not have as many over as previous years.
Raine, hope you and Jack enjoy the water and beach; slight envy till temps hit 90 and above down there.
Wonder how much DMIL is going to drink today, DD took her to package store Saturday.
Pray each and everyone of you have a Blessed and Healthy year!!!!
    Enjoy the Day,

    Happy New Year BBB Friends.
    • Aah, there's nothing like flowing gray water. Life is good.
    • We managed to stay up until midnight watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime. Turned it off in time to watch the ball drop and then turned in.
    • Your Ducks pulled it out Dave and Bob. Crazy play at the end. Our Bulldogs play tonight.
    • The weatherman says we are supposed to hit 70° today. Unreal.

    Go Babe and Tess!
Our dogs had a little dog party today with Dd22's ... they are sending a hearty WOOF to yours, Lee!
    iucszr6nmva6.jpg

I got all creative and invited Dd22 to come home to be crafty with me for a while. I made a cool canvas for our living room. I'd gotten lots of details so she could make one, too, but she liked the original fabric so much that she left hers completely plain. Go figure. I'll be returning a bunch of stuff tomorrow, I guess. The minimalist look is in, I suppose!

David, that sounds SO DECADENT! YUM!

When will Tom be home, Raine?

Our party last night was interesting. It was supposed to be a euchre party, but we never did get to playing. Instead, we listened to each couple (there were 4 couples) share their stories and what they do now. It was okay, but I was ready to go home at 10.

Dennis, I'm jealous of your 70! But, at least it's not snowy here. It's coming, I'm sure, but so far we've been clear.

Good evening. Glad to read about your evening and day.
Sally is sick. I’m calling the vet in the morning. She’s not eating. She has a slight fever 102.3.
