She has cancer of the spleen.
She had a seizure while I was there. Scared me.
I brought her home so we can all say goodbye.
We will do it before we leave on our cruise.
Didn’t we just go thru this?

    Oh no. I am so sorry. We went through the same experience with our Princess (golden retriever) 10 years ago. You can only hold on to all the happy memories.

    "It's a fearful thing to love what death can touch."
    To love someone deeply means that sooner or later there may be profound pain from loss.
    But having loved and then accepting that pain reminds us how life was worth living to begin with.
