The Ultimate Accountability Challenge is founded on the big 3 foundations of tracking of caloric intake; tracking of caloric output via exercise; and self-establishing a caloric limit. In addition, to those 3 thoughtful behaviors, then the team member is to report in their daily results...that's the reporting aspect of accountability.
If you decide to be accountable only to yourself, it's easier to quit, than if you commit to share your goals and performance with others.
The UAC rules require that you report in to the group either daily or no less than every 3 days.
In addition, since we are all adults and you are a person of integrity, we believe what you report. If someone chooses to 'cheat', they only cheat themselves.
At the end of the month, each of us reports whether or not they have earned the privilege to be counted as qualifiers for the Winner's Circle.
It's actually a high honor, in that, all of us in the UAC know how difficult it is to achieve that goal.
Tomorrow, I'll address the last key component of the UAC program...Pass Days.
If you are new to this team, I hope you see what a great group of team members are in this group.
Thanks to everyone who has generously and transparently shared their insights and personal stories.

Exercised?: Yes - a mixed bunch of on-the-spot jogging and floor exercises for an hour.
Calories?: Yes - Went over target but exercise brought me back under.
Tracked?: Yes - every bite!
I'm loving the UAC! It's only my first month, but I'm determined to be in that winners circle at the end. It's definitely keeping me motivated to eat well and be more active! And i love how positive this group is as a whole. Thanks Ranger Rick for running such a great challenge10 -

Work today. Train into city and back to home again. Walk after dinner.
Not much else to report today.
Tip for the day: Always remember WHY you started. Focusing on WHY will inspire you continue to make things better for the future.11 -
Exercise - Yes. 30 mins leisurely walk. Didn't sleep well so didn't get up on time for normal longer walk.

@RangerRickL you are right about public commitment. I haven't talked to anyone IRL about losing weight. I lost 20 lbs and no one has noticed. So IRL I don't have any commitment or expectations to meet. However I don't think my first week of Jan would have gone as well if I wasn't reporting publicly. I would have skipped a couple of days of exercise and overeaten this week-end. I love the UAC. So simple and yet so effective.11 -

I agree with you. Reporting it really helps and makes you more accountable for what you are doing. Well done to you for doing this.9 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep-just under my 1500
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
I had the rest of the day free after my appointment so spent the afternoon batch cooking soup, quorn curry and quorn chilli-all ingredients weighed and recipes entered into MFP-no excuse to hit the junk food for at least a week.10 -
Yes, if it wasn't for UAC I would struggle to keep on track, thank you @RangerRickL and @craigo3154 and all challengers!

Yes to all 3.
Did 2 30 minute walks and 20 min ShaunT.
Was thinking of doing vegetarian/vegan from next week with my sugar challenge.
Does anyone have a premium memberships and is it worth it??
Like the idea of being able to change calorie allowance each day and logging my exercise.
I don’t log at present as it adds to calories and I don’t want to increase them.8 -

Yes x 3 today.
I totally agree with that accountability is key for me. The first thing after I have dinner is come here to report my day. I also agree that being honest is the only way to be. I haven't made the Winner's Circle yet but when I do (This month!!!) I will know that I worked hard for it and that I deserve it.8 -
Yes x 3 and to the importance of accountability. Tracking, even on pass days (and even if the best you can do is estimate) is the best accountability tool I know ... it keeps me from deceiving mysekf. Having the group to report to is an extra bonus and very helpful, particularly when nobody else around me seems to know or care about what they (or I) are doing in the diet and exercise realm.7

Exercise- Yes my favorite body sculpting/ free weights class 60 minutes plus 60 minute yoga class. I love Mondays, oh I can feel the burn.
Calories- Yes under by 43 without eating back exercise. I usually only eat back cardio calories (I have no science or theories behind this, it’s just what I do).
Tracking- Everday, Every meal since August 18th 2018.
I’ve been rocking pretty hard, tracking since last August and got my first gym membership of my life in October. I feel like this challenge is bringing it all together. For me tracking is pretty easy, exercise has become the thing I look forward to, staying under calories is hard. This challenge is bringing it all together and having to be accountable is keeping me on track, especially calories.8 -

More normalcy in my day today. Pleased eating out is not a regular occurrence. Why do restaurants have to serve meals which are 3X as much as anyone needs to consume? Even the kid's menus are larger portions and higher calorie content than necessary.7 -
