Mornin' gents.

Not a member of WW anymore, but still follow the things I learned losing over 100 lbs over 10 years ago. Like Sam, not maintaining as well as I would like. Gotta crank down.

Be OP ;-)

Morning. Clear and cold here this morning-- 11°. Had a touch of snow yesterday so it finally at least looks like winter.

Finished steam cleaning rugs yesterday and had to move a lot of stuff onto sofas and chairs, recluttering the whole place, and now have to wait for rugs to dry, maybe a day or two, but only temporary. Feels so good to have everything renewed and fresh. My recliner was the worst, with coffee stains and more. Like new now. And a good workout-- slept 8 hrs. last night.

I use the My Fitness Pal app to track food, though not as regularly as I should. I have been relying lately on a FitBit Blaze watch and app to monitor and encourage my exercise, which has been very useful. I gave up on WW after staying at the same weight for 3 years, while still attending meetings weekly. I think the original idea -- and success-- of WW, was people meeting in someone's livingroom regularly, and not all the science (albeit good) it involves. The bond of human connection among members and the friendly support they can give each other makes a difference. Local meetings today can vary, but WW got away from that more personal touch when they went corporate.

My goal today is to get my stuff put back away, mopping tile and hardwood floors and washing windows. Starting to invite kids and grand-kids over for visits soon.

    Have a great day.

    Good Morning!

Mike, I really dislike the disruption of having carpets cleaned, but it does make a difference!

I used Noom for the last year. Gained almost 8 pounds. I will be cancelling my membership soon. Ugh! I do best when I just use the tools available here on MFP.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Still feel like carp. This is getting old. I like winter fine, if I feel well. I miss getting out to hike in the rain and snow, but lack the energy to do so, now.

I quit WW a couple years ago, after losing 60 lbs. and maintaining for 8 years. I think the program works well, if you work the program. Sadly, I haven't worked anything, much, for the last few years and have regained 20 lbs. I had good luck with a free app, Lose It, a few years back, and have lost, for a while, using the MFP app. The key is to actually use the apps.

Never had carpets cleaned; we never wear our shoes in the house, either. Saw some research, recently, that showed that almost all shoes that have been worn outside have some level of fecal contamination. My grandkids play on that carpet. Enough said.

    Good Morning!

I no longer use WW, since I found it too expensive and as the program has morphed, especially recently, not of value. I do go to a monthly Lifetime meeting which I pay $15 for. So far that is a great one hour interactive discussion mostly focused on weight and health. I am using MFP now.

We had our carpets cleaned in early December after the remodeling was done. We only have carpeting on the stairs and upstairs.

Dave, maybe you should try and get this thing identified and nailed down for treatment.

    Good Afternoon,
Test done, should hear something sometime next week I'm told.
Glad we do not have any carpet, all hardwoods main floor and laminate downstairs.
Agree with contamination of shoes coming in from outside, but now CDC says kids need to be exposed to more things to help prevent allergies which is sure to change just as the wind.
    Enjoy the Day,

Hello hello hello! All these posts about the cold, I wish it was cold here! I am in Queensland Australia and its bloody hot! Anyway, my first post here, I had a less than desirable outcome at the doctors yesterday. Have to lose some weight, I proposed 40KG or 88lbs which will get me to the bigger end of my BMI scale. Let's do it hey!?

    Thanks Lads
