    Freezing our baguettes off here - but nowhere close to the stories from IL; IN; WI; MI BBB'ers! WOW!

    Busy day here - new home networking system going in that should allow me to access the ISS!

    Hope everyone is staying warm. Maybe Lou bought the newspaper to cover up with.

    Schools are on a 2 hour delay. Might be closed now. I haven’t turned on anything to find out. Ds2 had all classes canceled yesterday. -4 according to the weather channel.
    2 days until get sun. It’s going to be in the 80s when we get to where we are going. Woot.

    Tom met up with some local Widows Sons last evening - he's getting a feel for the local group.
    Filed the Dept of Insurance complaint for Tom yesterday. The BS insurance company will have to address our appeal and the complaint. Now we wait.
    Today is a desk day for me - lots to catch up on.
    Dave - I hope Rita feels better soon.

    • I hope all of you in the bitter cold are able to hibernate. While cold here it is dry with little wind. It is bearable.
    • I know you are excited Kelly. Perfect timing.
    • Is Rita getting any better Dave. I am so grateful to be over the crud I had in Dec.
    • Skip, I have a neighbor who is Steve Miller. Not the same one. I think?!? I used to live close to Manfred Mann. Went to a few gatherings with him.

    Now: -23/wind chill -38

    Should get up to 1F by 5pm, then really warm up next couple days. Lots of water main breaks.... movie theater discounts and free popcorn. Ummm if it's too cold for school isnt too cold to go to the movies?

    Hope those sick get well soon, I still am stuffed up with a slight on going headache too.

    Good you got insurance docs filed Raine, hope they come thru now and cover!

    Good morning BBB friends.

    Rita still feels pretty miserable - lots of dry coughing, etc. I stay close to provide nursing support and sympathy.

    I didn't mention the results of my asthma tests.They showed ... nothing. As my new doctor explained, my symptoms indicate exercise induced bronchial constriction. For the tests to show anything, they would have to haul their machine up on the mountain where I am hiking. I have a prescription for an inhaler to use before and during exercize. We'll see how it goes. I like my new doctor though: an Army captain about my son's age, or younger.

    Morning bbb

    Hibernated all day yesterday with a little work tossed in. Today is going to be above zero. We need to go back to the house to get the mail and set out the trash cans.

    Today I’m going to polish all my shoes then donate that stuff. Plan to get rid of most before they need treated again. :)

    Can’t believe PTO week is half over. Where to the days go.

    Mornin' BBB.

    -2 F here. Babe and Tess needed their booties for our hike this am. I should have dressed a wee bit warmer. They had fun and then brought them inside the house since I'm home today. Their heated kennels in the barn are toasty, but its just nice to hang with them inside. iy3yriwrcom2.png


    Going to get a hair cut and then a little grocery shop. Then some desk work like Raine.

    Keep warm Chicago, Milwaukee, and Indiana. Cold enough here on East coast. Those are unreal temperatures.

    Hope Rita feels better soon, Dave. Does she like hot honey lemonade? Always makes me feel better. Used to use OTC stuff, but nothing works like hot honey lemonade and chicken soup.

    It's c-c-c-cold! Thanks, Bob! Every single one of my WW workshops were closed this week. That has NEVER happened! And they were closed by NY ... we didn't have to make the call, which I really appreciate. I had the WHOLE week off (and I'm going pretty stir crazy). This is my day today:

    <-big fan of measuring twice...works well in orthopedic surgery too.
