Good Morning BBB.
A small, poodle-like, white dog got away from it's owner and ran across the Harley Dealership to attack Jack yesterday while we were visiting with Tom. It was not cool. The dog was serious and bit Jack twice before we could capture the little varmit. It was only the second time that Jack ever growled - the first being when a Jack Russel Terrier also bit him twice.
Continued prayers for Rita to feel better.
Do good out there everyone.

The universe was just not pleased with the BBB community yesterday! Good grief, is Jack okay? Yikes....
Today is desk work and maybe some time at the distillery later for a dram with some friends.

Mornin' BBB.
DMIL is comfortable and still having moments of clarity. DW has always been the dependable and even keeled sibling, but I am impressed with how my DSILs and DBIL are responding to the situation. Sad how it has taken the impending loss of the matriarch to bring back family functionality, but good to see.
I hear tasers work pretty well on aggressive attacking dogs of all sizes. Cattle prods too. All too often, owners of those dogs find it amusing and actually encourage that kind of behavior. I remember a client once brought me a shepherd mix that had tried to bite a jogger in the road and the jogger whacked it in the head with a cut off baseball bat. Evidently this was a recurring event and the owners though it was OK that the dog was protecting their section of the road. The dog lost a fang tooth and owners wanted documentation so they could sue and press charges against the jogger. I should have kept my mouth shut but advised the owners of the dog that although I was not a lawyer, I did not think that they had a case.
*kitten* Skip-not Black Beauty!?...and interesting photo of gal with "Titans" appropriately labeled.
Prayers for Rita. Does your church have a Holy Unction service, Dave?
Steph, did you have a good steak out?
Dennis, android brothers unite! Glad you were able to straighten out the hearing aid FUBAR situation without suffering spontaneous combustion.
Lou and Sam, you all have way too much knowledge on how communities work on funding infrastructure. Reading your comments made my eyes cross. Glad there are people like you who understand that stuff.
Mary, Maddie is a cutie.

Good morning BBB friends.
Had shrimp and grits at a local oyster bar yesterday, with DS, DDIL and grandkids. Rita stayed home with her cough. I have avoided oysters for the last few years, after a couple of unfortunate intestinal reactions following oyster feasts. I had one on the half shell, however, with no ill effects. Maybe I'm back on the oyster train.
Tough break Skip. I replaced one windshield in more than 40 years of driving. Then went through four windshields in the first five years I had my current car. The auto glass place was putting me on their Christmas card list.
I have no idea what a "holy unction" is, Lee, so I guess it isn't a Presbyterian thing. The choir prays for Rita at every rehearsal.0 -
Happy St. Pattys Day. I made ruebens last night. That'll be it for our Irishness.
Exactly why I won't take Maddie to the dog park. I don't need her getting bit by someone else's out of control dog on my watch. I think I'd likely have gone off on the ankle bitters owner Raine. Not Cool. Humans...errrrr.
Glad to here your inlaws are rallying Lee.
We were up early me and Maddie, already making a turkey breast, zero pt soup, chicken breasts next, and prepping raw veggies snd fruit for the week. Now to track consistantly! I want to put some calories to the soup thou, so I'm trying to recipe build that on mfp.
A dog walk is on tap in a bit.
I'll take Maddie home after supper.
Cold here again, in the upper 20's sigh. We should see Spring by Memorial weekend?

Maybe its a Catholic/Episcopal thing. Holy Unction is a special service for healing.
Shrimp and grits is serious comfort food.0 -
Morning bbb
The hotel we are at is full of kids. The breakfast area was crazy. Staying here tonight too.
Heading to a brewery that specializes in ciders which is a favorite of Rons for a tasting and tour. They aren’t my favorite so after my little sample I’ll be the DD today.
And maybe a pedicure today. Will field calls and texts from the stores but no in store visit today.0 -
Good afternoon BBB Friends.
- Attacked by a Frenchman in a Harley shop. Brings back old memories I'd rather forget. I hope Jack is okay.
- Shrimp and grits. You must be in Southern Tumwater Dave. You can eat with Sam and I anytime.
- Get well Rita.
- Have a great Sunday BBB.
