What do you find lifts your spirit?
Surprisingly, most people think that comfort food is actually comforting. On the other hand, even though I enjoy good food, what really lifts my spirit is exercise. And being outdoors in the nice weather.
What about you? What do you do to lift your spirit?

I'm the same - outdoor exercise is my best mood-lifter! Preferably with a great view (lake, beach, park etc...). I've been walking by the lake in the rain twice this week, and i've felt so great afterwards. Very refreshing!!
Date: March 19
Exercised?: Yes - 28 minute brisk walk, and 21 minute leisurely walk.
Calories?: Yes - only just under! Turns out even a mini-size snack from my favourite dessert cafe has a whopping 1007 calories!! Won't be treating myself there too often 😲
Tracked?: Yes - every delicious bite tracked.

This time of year ... anytime the sun shines and particularly if the temp is over 40!
Anytime I ride all my cares go away. (The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man/woman. ) It is just impossible to be depressed, anxious, angry, mopey when riding a horse.8 -
I agree with all 3 of you! I used to (and still fall into the trap at times) of comfort food. It’s a falsity.
Things that lift my spirits:
Spending time with my husband, our son, and/or petting my cat!
Walking, particularly on hilly wooded nature trails with views of ocean or bay.
Playing with art - colors & line!8 -
Forget "Dance like nobody is watching" .....
Dance like a toddler! (They don't even care if there isn't any music )
All I need is a back-beat .... then stay outta my way and "Turn me loose; Turn me loose! Gotta do it my way ...or no way at aaaalllll ! " Music genre is irrelevant. So is musical "mood". I can plug into just about anything .8 -

Surprisingly hard question. Lifting my spirits typically happens randomly when moments in life come together for me. It could be anything from enjoying the sun on my face to chasing the dog around the backyard. I do know that when I feel better about myself and am taking care of myself, those moments happen more frequently.10 -

Running and exercise are my biggest spirit-lifters -- they've become such a part of me, I don't feel "right" when I don't. Also singing -- either at karaoke or with a band -- and spending time with my hubby and our four-legged feline babies.6 -

OK, I'm making progress. Everything was logged but still over even with my exercise calories which I normally don't eat back. BUT for the first time since my accident there actually are exercise calories. My house mate and I went running at the beachfront in the morning. I was slow but I ran the entire 30 minutes and really felt good. Then we went home for breakfast before heading to yin yoga. I have not been that loose and flexible in ages, but that's because none of my muscles have had to work very hard.
I'm heading off to visit my kidney twin and his kids for the weekend and his sweet tooth is worse than mine so getting under target may be challenging but I will do my best.
My spirit gets lifted by doing Jiu Jitsu or judo, spending time in nature, especially if the ocean is involved, cuddling with my fur or scaly kids at home or work, getting lost in a good books, bonding with my nieces and nephew, connecting deeply with someone especially over some good coffee, playing board games etc6 -
