Yes x 3 for Tuesday
Cardio boot camp, 20 min dog walk. Also stood at my desk for 9 hours! What a long day.
I'll lift my spirits this weekend with a delicious coffee and a long dog walk with my dog and husband.5 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 50 minutes of strength this morning (resistance combat), and my monthly hour sports massage this evening. It keeps me in top shape for my running and workouts!
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep and under
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes!
Running and exercise are my biggest spirit-lifters -- they've become such a part of me, I don't feel "right" when I don't. Also singing -- either at karaoke or with a band -- and spending time with my hubby and our four-legged feline babies.6 -

My (new) bf will be coming in from out of town next week to take me a small procedure, so that made me happy today. 🥰6 -
OK, I'm making progress. Everything was logged but still over even with my exercise calories which I normally don't eat back. BUT for the first time since my accident there actually are exercise calories. My house mate and I went running at the beachfront in the morning. I was slow but I ran the entire 30 minutes and really felt good. Then we went home for breakfast before heading to yin yoga. I have not been that loose and flexible in ages, but that's because none of my muscles have had to work very hard.
I'm heading off to visit my kidney twin and his kids for the weekend and his sweet tooth is worse than mine so getting under target may be challenging but I will do my best.
My spirit gets lifted by doing Jiu Jitsu or judo, spending time in nature, especially if the ocean is involved, cuddling with my fur or scaly kids at home or work, getting lost in a good books, bonding with my nieces and nephew, connecting deeply with someone especially over some good coffee, playing board games etc6 -

What do you find lifts your spirit?
My first joy that comes to mind that lifts my spirits is being next to the water, but more so then any is the ocean. This Cali girl left there at 30 years old and it hasn't left her. I've been away almost 30 years now, so every chance I get to go home just brings so much joy and peace to my soul to sit by the water, walk through it, sinking my toes in the sand, kicking up the waves. That's my zen.
I also enjoy walking outside. I find the creation of nature amazing, the breeze blowing in the tree's, birds singing to be so peaceful.
But when it's been a rough day, and I am really needing comfort... picking up my fur ball of a dog and hugging her sweetly drops my blood pressure instantly!
Thanks for reminding me Ranger Rick that food is NOT my comfort. So easily to turn to, or that glass of wine, etc. That in the end is NOT comfort!
HELLO SPRING AND BRING ON SUMMER2 -
Babies and little children....what joy they bring me ...family and friends and a good laughter
Yes to all2 -
Yes x 3. It is finally warming up here, so getting outside is helping lift my spirits. It's been really cold lately, and I forget how much a quick walk outside can make me feel so much better.1

Yes X’s 3
60 minutes yoga and 60 minutes aerobics. Well under on calories, my cold has killed my appetite.
Gardening and yard work always lifts my spirits. Being outside and the physical work. I get lots of instant gratification plus the delayed gradification from planting seeds and bulbs. I love the big dreams and plans involved in planting trees and shrubs. I get joy from just daydreaming about garden ideas.
