    Church at 11 at DS's parish church, but get there early to get a seat, then egg hunt in DS's backyard with GKs and dinner.

    Portion control is the WW word for the virtue of Temperance.

    Off to Brooklyn, NY for Easter brunch with DS#2.

    Portion control...yes. So need to exercise that more often.

    Good morning gentlemen, and happy Easter to all of you to whom this is an occasion.

    Have to be at church early, this morning. There are additional musicians joining the choir for today's service, and this is pour only ponly chance to rehearse with the whole group.

    Have eight over for supper, tonight. Cooking a rib roast, with twice-baked potatoes, and sweet corn pudding. Everything is prepped; the roast goes in the oven after we get home from church.

    Happy Easter!

    I had an AWESOME experience last night. I did my first ever saturation patrol for DUI, where I rode along in a police car. I have to admit, it was very fun, and exciting. No big arrests, but the first stop did yield marijuana, but from a passenger, not the driver. I learned a lot. I didn't get home until 3:30, however. It is an honor to represent my children through MADD in this way.

    Connie is playing the organ at church this morning, so we will leave just before 10:00 for a 10:30 service. This makes for a very short night. Perhaps a nap this afternoon?

    A Blessed Easter to each of you!

    I guess I got caught up on my sleep from this weeks issues and slept thru the sunrise service which I was looking forward to. I will be preparing Lamb with herbs & garlic, Hot Cross buns and roasted Kabocha squash with a green salad. Lemon Shortcake with gingered blueberries for dessert. Gotta get going and butterfly the lamb, and start the baking. Candied the orange/lemon peel yesterday. Kitchen sink hardly has much water flow but I will try to get the diverter which is likely clogged off after we eat. It won't be fun for my back.

    Have a blessed day and blessed week-end. Up early for quick bike ride then to Easter breakfast put on my church kids and Easter service followed by Easter lunch at my daughter's DMIL.
