Geez Mike, I agree. Tough day to wake for that young man.
Full report on Tolkien, please.

Morning. Sad wake yesterday... saw several old friends. I had co-led a cubscout den years ago with the father of the young man who died-- my son and his older brother were scouts.
Rain stopped and looks like sun might break through, although it started to snow yesterday here between the raindrops.
Time for coffee.0 -
Good Morning!
Mike, prayers for you, and for the family of the young man that was killed. This will be a hard journey for the family.
Full week of work this week, then I am taking three days off next week.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
The loss of a young live seems especially tragic.
Our spell if summer weather is over: high of 68 today, 58 tomorrow. Oh well, the sun will return.
Errands with DW today, maybe a hike in the rain, tomorrow.0 -
Good Morning
Mike, there are no words to describe the loss of that young man. Mother's Day should not be celebrated with a wake for your son. I will say a prayer for you and the family.
We enjoyed Tolkien. The boys bought tickets to a new modern cinema where servers come to take your order when you press a button and then bring it to you. Way too expensive frankly and a very modern sterile environment. Not a fan. Our old movie & alehouse is warmer, friendlier and cheaper. Tolkien sets a somewhat somber tone as it flashes back between him in the horror of the trench warfare of WWI and his life growing up and making into Oxford and then beyond. Despite that somber tone it all comes together rather well with times of light and laughter. I will say no more but to recommend it. Beautifully filmed and costumed. But since I am one of those who came of age with Bilbo Baggins and then Frodo, there is a somewhat magical interest and joy in this story. Two thumbs up!1 -
Good Afternoon,
Yea to short week next week Steve.
Mike, sorry about loss but good to have long term friends
I would greatly welcome cooler weather, no snow though
Lawn is having to be cut at least weekly now,
Doctor this morning with them trying to find my blood, only 3 sticks and 4 injections then they referred me to another doctor; should have slept in this morning. 8 am appointment, saw doctor come in 8:50 then I was suppose to be 2nd appointment, they mixed up and I was 3rd. Left house this morning at 6:05 and got home at 12:14, it's already been to long of a day.
