Welcome to the June 2019 Ultimate Accountability Challenge!
Some of you have been with this challenge for months and some are brand new. This is one of the hardest challenges to stay with throughout the entire month. FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better.
GOOD LUCK!

I'm Bonnie and live in Nashville TN with my husband, Doug. We'll be celebrating 34 years of marriage in a couple of months and still like each other a lot! Mom to two grown men, one in Chattanooga TN and one in Greenville SC, and my four-legged Ollie.
So glad to be back for another month of UAC. Love this group more than I can express and so thankful I found it several months ago. This group of dedicated people, led by our fearless and dedicated @RangerRickL, has helped to keep me focused on my health and because of that, I'm 1/3rd of my way to my goal!! Looking forward to meeting all the newbies and continuing on with those already here!4 -
I'm Calli located on the central California coast with my husband and daughter. I've attempted this challenge in the past (some time ago) and am focusing on committing to making it through an entire month this time! I am easily distractable! I look forward to checking in with you all.4

June will be my 19th month of participating in the UAC challenge with the goal being to live a healthy life. Without doubt, you will find other team members to be supportive; and everyone is always encouraged to stay with the group for accountability even if the coveted “Winner’s Circle” won’t be achieved. Welcome to all the new team members joining UAC for the first time in June and to the "virtual friends" with whom I have become acquainted in the last several months. We are better together and I am privileged to be among you. Accolades to @RangerRickL for his daily inspiration which motivates us to succeed!5

Ugh, coming up on June and I still have my winter weight. I got to get back to serious about tracking. Tracking works. That is what I know. I am pretty active. I kind of binge on activity so my activity isn't really sustainable on a daily basis. I kind of go for every other day. I will come up with something that counts for 20 minutes on my "off" days. Maybe pushups and situps.4

@bocasdelcrazygrandpa Welcome back...looking forward to June!0

I am back for month #6 so far this year, and hoping to make it my 6th Winner's Circle in a row. I'm planning to focus on much better food choices this month -- much less processed sugars. I have my 6th half-marathon coming up in October and my first-ever Spartan race in November, so it's time to buckle down and get serious!6

I am Caitlin from Sydney. I am back after a gap as I really need to budge (& keep budged) 5 kilos. I lost 4 of them and then put it back on and now it has plateaued. I have a cruise 🚢 later in the year and want to feel great. Thanks for having me back.4

Hi from California. I let go of Myfitnesspal for a while, but I'm drifting into old habits, so I'd love to join you.4

Hello from Illinois! I've been tracking calories for about a month and this month planning to also begin working out more. I know accountability will help me with the lifestyle changes I'm making. I look forward to joining you and getting to know you all along the way.4

Hello from Toronto. I regained 15lbs over the winter after having gotten to maintenance and stayed there for more than a year. I lost 10lbs of that already in the last 5 weeks. It was a weirdly quick and easy loss, maybe telling me that some of that gain was water weight only. Still I credit my participation in UAC with some of the ease with which that happened. It took me 4 months to gain that much, it couldn’t ALL have been water! Sticking to my goals day in and day out with the support and encouragement from this group made the process go smoothly.
June will be my second month at it and my goal will be 0.5lb/week, so a measly 2lbs this month. Without the positive reinforcement of a declining number on the scales I’m really going to need this challenge to help keep me from feeling frustrated.
I love that this challenge includes an exercise goal. For me, exercise keeps my spirits up and helps me sleep at night. Twice last month I excused myself from my family/guests to go meet the exercise portion of the challenge. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the challenge, it would have felt selfish. Pointing to the commitment I made to this challenge makes it easier for everyone (especially me).
Good luck everyone. Really enjoyed getting to know the members last month and looking forward to meeting any new members :flowerforyou:5 -
My names Heather. I am a happily married mom of two amazing young boys who has been overweight most of my life. I am starting this challenge as well as restarting my weightloss goals with 116 lbs to lose. I have trouble overeating and giving up and I am really hoping to finally stay on track and get healthier.8

Starting back on MFP after much time away... just found this challenge and im looking forward to it... good luck to all5

Hi all!
Looking forward to starting this! I'm in desperate need of some accountability - it's all too easy to get home from work and sit in front of the TV with a bag of crisps!!
I definitely need a push to get this weight loss kick started so hoping this will provide the motivation I need.
Its probably worth mentioning that my graduation is in the 1st of June so I'm going to go ahead and assume that's a write off! But it's all onwards and upwards after that!
Good luck everyone!6 -
Hello from Dubai! I signed up to UAC once before and failed to log a single day so at least I know I can't do any worse this time round I reactivated my MFP account a few weeks ago and have been consistent with working out but my food choices and logging have been pretty hit and miss, so I'm hoping participating in UAC will help me stay on track. I've attempted to lose weight so many times over the past few years but have always let things get the better of me and I'm now at my heaviest ever. But I've set some great goals for this year and feel really positive about achieving them this time round. Looking forward to this challenge, good luck to everyone!7

If at first you don't succeed try try again...….
So here I am....
My first UAC group was in February. I LOVE this group!! I am a little more hopeful that this time I may actually make the winners circle. If not, I will definitely be closer then ever before.
I am 57 years old, 5' 3" and currently weigh 194. The goal I set in January was to lose 3 lbs per month. I currently should be at 191 with my goals, but believe I will make some head way this month.
I have signed up for an outdoor aqua aerobics class and started Yoga...…….plus, I am giving up alcohol. That's the tough one, that consumed A LOT of my calories.
There is so much support on this group that it is very important to log in every day.5 -
@loulouking Congratulations on your graduation!!
Also, after reading everyone else's introduction posts, my name is really Teri I have AbandonedKSCharger, because my fantasy football name was Kansas Charger, until they moved my team to LA and therefore, "abandoned".
I live in Kansas...…...currently flood and tornado stiken…..ugghh…..I have been here 29 years now...….wow. I am originally from California, grew up in the LA area, then moved down to my mother's home of San Diego. I still call San Diego home, love it and miss it, so I go home every year to satisfy my homesickness. But happy to be in the Midwest where most places are an easy drive and the prices are much cheaper!5 -
Hello! My name is Amy. I am a single mother of 3 awesome kiddos. I live in a small town in southwest Saskatchewan (Canada). This group sounds incredible, so I will try it out for the month of June. Perhaps even make some new friends!
In between children, I was always a comfortable 135 lbs. However, over the last few years, with alcohol abuse and then fighting for recovery, I came to rely on some unhealthy habits to get my head straight. I am finding it pretty difficult to meet the calorie recommendation, now that I have cut out the liquid calories (soda). But I am feeling a little stronger every day. I start my days out with a 3 to 5km walk, and have begun introducing 15 minute workouts.
I am trying to force myself to try new things, and be more open minded. I believe that my journey into becoming more active and more fit will open those doors wide open.
Many blessings. Thank you for reading!

I'm back after a couple of months off. After a pretty intense, focused weight loss period I felt like I needed a 'vacation'. I started maintenance at the end of January after a 50+ pound loss over 5 months. It has been a bit of a rocky road as I have found that maintenance is an entirely new learning process. Fortunately, I am still at the weight I started maintenance, but I have not yet found the consistency I would like... and UAC is all about consistency!!!
Looking forward to reconnecting with the 'old timers' and getting to know the newbies.5 -

So pleased to have you back. Maintenance is another "project." UAC offers the opportunity for accountability and consistency. Looking forward to June with you!2 -
Signing up for my 17th month of UAC. May had some unexpected turns, but June is looking like a relaxing normal pace. Ive been refocus ed on quality of calories and more cardio than strength training, so i can loose this last 20 lbs. Great way to start the summer!4

Back for my eighth month. Working on improving my fitness and health. Made the Winners Circle again in May, despite a few minor health/fitness blips.
Weight has been steadily trending downwards, so should achieve my target of reaching my goal weight for my 53rd Wedding Anniversary in July.
This is a good place for anyone to start the practicing of new habits, in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere

I have been using My Fitness Pal off and on for about 6 years. I had lost 30 pounds. Only 20 away from my goal. I quit and put it all back on. I am ready to get back on track with the help of some friends! We can do it!6

Long time UAC member.
I am a 51yo father of 1 living in Melbourne Australia. I have been part of UAC for 2 years now.
When I first joined I was 25kg heavier than I am now. I wen in to full maintenance 18 months ago and have maintained my goal weight ever since using the UAC principles.
Learned A LOT when losing weight and then in subsequent maintenance. Happy to share what I have learned.
Best of luck to all that join this challenge.5 -
Happy June Everyone! Taking day by day here. Good Luck to you all.4

Hi all,
This group helped me meet my goals during the winter holiday season. Thanks to the accountability that UAC membership required I made it through those last three months of 2018 with a small loss each month instead of my usual winter weight gain. That was great! During the 3 months of spring I didn’t participate in UAC, despite knowing I needed the motivation you all provide. I kept telling myself that I should rejoin the group, so I’ve returned. I want to continue grinding off those last few pounds to my goal. Thanks for having me!3 -
Hello! I have been looking at the different challenges here on MFP to join and decided why not just go with the ultimate one! I've been counting calories for about 3 weeks now, after not really losing any weight by just exercising.
I'm 34 years old, 5'2 145lb, but started at 150 three weeks ago! I'm starting on June 2nd as my husband and I have been on a holiday weekend to celebrate his 40th. I also have three kids ages 7, 5, & 2.5. 👨🧒👧
I primarily just run every other day for exercise, but will add different activities to my off days to meet my exercise goals. Here's to a fun & challenging June! 🙌5
