Quiet day at home playing computer games with my daughter.
Got to get out and walk before sunset. Still cold here, but not snow type cold (we don't get snow in Melbourne except on the rarest occasions).
Goals for this month are:- Stay honest.
- Read and post daily.
- Try make circle.
- Help where possible.
Congratulations to those who made circle last month. Well done too to all those who kept posting right through to the end of the month.

How blessed you are! I don't mind snow on occasion...but one day is sufficient to satisfy any longing for the white stuff.6 -

More importantly congratulations to all who post daily!8 -

I join as a MFP newbie. I think I get the gist of this group & will figure anything else out along the way. Helpful advise is welcome. Encouragement even better. Looking forward to the accountability (or thinking good thoughts at least ).
I'm a seniorish woman (I was a teenager for the British Invasion - you can do the math). I have a lot of weight to lose (Oct 2018 high weight of 262). I was seriously ill last year and as part of my recovery I have already started to work on weight loss. I've lost just shy of 40 lbs so far (a chunk of that was water loss after a medication correction). I have over 100 lbs to go. I have only just started adding exercise to regain strength & flexibility. Cardiovascular will be added as able. My biggest handicap, as far as weight loss & exercise, is fatigue. But I know weight loss & exercise are the cure. A bit of a catch 22 there. Must just push through.
Group Accountability
Exercise? 20+ minutes DDPYoga Rebuild Program
Tracking? yes
Calories? yes
Personal Accountability
10 in 20 on track? yes - 3 lbs lost Days 1-2
Hydration? yes
Supplements? forgot morning sups & ended up taking w/ evening sups. Not optimal use.
Sleep notes: fail
Exercise notes: did it before breakfast. It felt great to know I got it done. Note to me - Don't quit. It will be worth it.
Goals for June- adhere to and complete Day 3 (today) through Day 20 of Dr Fuhrman's 10 in 20 Detox Program. New goal after day 20 tbd.
- stay hydrated. A ton of fresh produce means lots of water in foods, so shoot for at least 3 x 12oz glasses of H2O plus a cup or two of coffee or tea. More important - pay attention to thirst.
- keep up with nutritional supplements. I may be able to drop some of these as diet quality improves.
- work on accursed insomnia & my awful sleep habits. Get that sleep study the Dr ordered.
- re: exercise. Beyond the daily group requirement, I want to change my whole mindset towards exercise. Tall order for a long time exercise hater.

Pass Day 1
Went to a baby shower. Had a small piece of cake. 1 glass of celebratory wine. Did great on food until I got to the the home where I am staying. They have chips (my weakness...I don't keep them around). Peanut M&Ms on the coffee table (again I don't keep sweets around either). Was just handed my second glass of wine by my host. Why couldn't today have been yesterday???😳😱 I had one pass day left. Oh well, will just enjoy the rest of the evening.
Cheers.
P.S. Will avoid this whole debacle tomorrow.6 -

Hi everyone! Congrats to all in May's winner circle! So happy to see some regulars, some coming back, and lots of newbies for June!
Today begins month 6 for me here at UAC. I joined in January and have been in the winner's circle each month. I don't say that to brag, but to say that I have never been this faithful to anything health and weight-loss related. Love this group so much!! So much encouragement has been shared by the members and I've personally gleaned so much from the wisdom shared. Wishing all of us here for June a very happy, healthy month!
