Recently, I was privileged to hear an excellent speaker say, "Experience is not wisdom. We can have the same experience over and over and not be wise. Wisdom is experience that is reflected upon."

These are some of the truth I tell myself every week and sometimes everyday, especially on weekends or parties.
It is about my health. This is one thing in this life that nobody can do for me .
Nobody can exercise on my behalf.
Nobody can keep track of what I eat, bite, lick, drink, etc., on my behalf
Nobody can stay within my calorie/micro budget on my behalf
Food is my body fuel. Food is made for my body not my body for food. Gasoline is made for cars not cars for gasoline.
My body is too precious and too expensive to put any type of fuel. Just like you will put the premium fuel in BMW, Mercedes, etc.
Nobody over fuel their expensive cars. Therefore, no overeating and getting sick, guilty etc., the next day for me. (truth I always tell myself on weekends)
My goal in life is not to make pharmaceutical companies/ or big food merchants rich at my expense.14 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes...a beautiful day and I did take any out for multiple walks...but just around the yard. My exercise today was 45 minutes of indoor low impact aerobics (25 minutes with Glad and 20 minutes with Leslie)

Exercise: Yes! about 90min outdoor walk. I take back my dismay over it raining the whole week, cuz it seems like the forecast turned itself around and it's back to clear weather again! It was real nice out, the sun was a little too warm but the sea breeze balanced it out well and the breeze+sun+sea water was so refreshing to get into after being indoors for 3 days.
Calories: Yes. I forgot to eat breakfast before my walk too and managed to survive the whole trip (left 12pm/came home 2:30pm, hadn't ate since 8pm last night), but once I was home I felt so dehydrated and drained of energy. But I still kept to my calories and didn't go overboard despite being too hungry and too tired to wanna prepare a proper meal, I still did it anyways! I'll remember not to make this mistake again tho lol

What a fun day I had today. My 11 year old grandson, Evan, just finished 5th grade. This weekend, he had a Boy Scout camp trip. Unfortunately, his dad, was not able to accompany him, so I was asked to be the stand-in. Today was wonderful. Lots of hiking and walking, plus an almost 2 hour kayak trip paddling up current on the overfull Illinois river. My grandson and I were using a tandem kayak. I have lots of experience and he did a great job in the bow. We had a wonderful time together today. Lots of calories burned too!

My exercise included airport walking and dancing. Yes, dancing! Three grandchildren and I used our layover time to groove to the tunes and burn some energy.

Yes x 3. Exercise was swimming with the grandkids and just generally chasing them around all day. I was spent by bedtime. This cold is finally showing signs of subsiding. Hallelujah.
I thought I’d have to take today as a pass day because my daughter made a masterpiece of a birthday cake and part of my gift to her was to eat two slices. That and breakfast were all I had, so I stayed under goal. Will have to make sure my nutrition is bang on the next few days.5 -
