    Mornin' BBB.

Well, it is the summer of the cucumber. Phenomenal harvest. Eating lots of cucumber and onion salad. Still waiting for tomatoes to start turning.

Bilge pump is still not working. Going to have to lift a section of the deck to get at suspected wiring issue. I'm spending more time working on this boat than fishing on it. Yeesh.

You are making progress with foundation, Raine. Am sure it seems like it's taking forever, but better to go slow and sure than fast and shabby.

    Hi, folks.

Trip to Lafayette was good. I'm supposed to hate the town by default because of Purdue, but it's actually got a very pretty old downtown with lots of life.

Cecilia was in Chicago again yesterday hanging out with her niece and the other Brazilian students. She had a ball. I got do three loads of laundry and get in 3 hours of walking. So, a good weekend overall.

Fun weekend and annoying at same time.

Neighbor to right made a formal rediculous offer for half asking price, with a 3 paragraph insulting baitch list that really was annoying. Offer went rejected.. with no comments. Only for him to then march across the yard sat. Night after midnight to the campfire and start screaming at my son, who was celebrating his birthday with several of the other millennial neighborhood adult kids... not cool. Sigh

Steph, so happy you are taking the leap! You're absolutely right you can always come back and get jobs again!

I'm off today. Cancelled direct tv fri, and hadn't had time to unhook it, so tried to last night for news. No reception coming in. Lol. Looks like our Smart TV isn't going to even pick up the local stations without an antenna... oh well.

3 day work week for me, t,w,th! Woohoo

End rot is usually over watering, Lee or no?

Arg. I just donated 3 TV antennas. I could have sent them to you. With them we were able to get 20ish stations.

Last morning in Omaha. Making a quick breakfast of tacos (all that so left here). Ron will take one more small load of donations, mostly the cleaning supplies and a few dishes. Then we have to pack the car and head to Missouri.

    Our adventure begins.

Mary over watering can cause end rot, but more commonly erratic watering. Bob, the master gardener has recommended daily watering...and the root of the problem is actually a lack of calcium. I use a good tomato fertilizer solution that has calcium weekly, it is also supposed to help with pH. Only certain heirloom varieties are having the issue. I may need to fertilize them more often.

Um, guess that neighbor didn't like the fact he wasn't invited to the party.

Skip, the guy is outrageously costly. I'm cheap that way.

    Good morning BBB friends.

We lived in Indiana for three years, back in the day, but stayed mostly around Indianapolis and south of there. Never made it to Lafayette.

I couldn't go without TV. I'm an addict. Since we get Internet through our cable provider, and I have my laptop on my lap 90 percent of the time, while I'm watching TV, I guess I am a dual addict. I rarely check my phone, though, si I guess I am an old-school, dual addict. :D

    Good Morning,
Day 11 three more days of treatments,
Lou, do you hire out and do ironing?
Lee, when I have blossom end rot I put a tablespoon of Epson salt around tomato
Grandma wouldn't spoil Annabelle would she? I remember my grandparents taking me and my older brother school shopping, when they got where they couldn't go my mother was given a list and money for what my grandmother thought we should have.
Steph, really admire your and Ron's adventurous style.
Mary, everyone wants to get property at 1/2 market value
Dennis, have you caught up on rest yet?
Saturday night DMIL ordered a 26 oz. Texas margarita so we had to help her out again; claims she needs to order large next time.
Grandkids go back to school Thursday, summer really passed fast; have not done all we planned with kids this summer.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam

    • Once upon a time I wanted to go to Purdue for a MA in Industrial Mgmnt. Never happened.
    • I really like small city downtowns. Lafayette looks like a good one.
