Have fun in Maine, Mike! Sounds wonderful.

Bill, DW and I are big fans of baseball. She grew up in NYC, so is a pretty rabid Yankee fan, whereas I tend to be a little less a Yankee fan and more a fan of the game. DW would like it if the Giants would trade Mad Bum to her beloved Bronx Bombers. I wish Cashman would pull the trigger on a decent trade for a pitcher soon. Our conversations about getting a pitcher are getting a bit redundant.

    Heat and humidity have returned.

Hang in there Sam. Hope you aren't uncomfortable.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

I used to go to 15 or 20 Royals games a year. I do like baseball, but I have not followed it now for years.

Final interviews today for the accounting clerk. I hope that we land on the right person.

It is supposed to be much cooler here starting today. I like this cooler summer weather! I don't mind the heat, but the humidity, when those dew points get above 70-75, that's just nasty.

    Mike, have an awesome trip!

Sam, hang in there with your treatments, I hope that they are effective for you.

    Have a great day!

Humid as heck here... a good day to be getting an early start up to midcoast Maine for a few days.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Planned to go for a hike, today. But DW was under the weather yesterday and is set to watch our grandson while his mom is at a meeting, this morning. So I will stay home as a backup for Rita, if she still feels bad when she wakes up. I can hike tomorrow.

I like baseball, but, as a fan of the team that leads MLB in futility, I have to take my enjoyment in small doses. I enjoy good innings, knowing they can stilll blow the game. A season where they are close to making the playoffs is a great success. The Mariners have NEVER been to a World Series and have avoided the playoffs longer than any team in any major U.S. sports league. Sigh.

Lee: Aren't all Yankee fans rabid?? When I was a kid I had to choose either the Dodgers (Brooklyn) or the Yankees as we had no West Coast team way back when. I arbitrarily choose the Dodgers which thankfully moved late on to LA.
Dave: Sorry your DW is under the weather. I too have followed the Mariners in fruitless fashion.
Fortunate to have nice temps now although we dearly need the rain. Mid 80s and not humid.
Off today for a dreaded lung function challenge test with Methacholine. Hrmph.

    Good Morning

After a good nights sleep I seem to have moved on from yesterday’s bug. Tutoring today and then some shopping.

Lee, sorry we are keeping MadBum. Besides the I believe the Yanks still have their inane “no facial hair” policy. MadBum wouldn’t be MadBum without the beard. Drew Pomerantz can be had on the cheap though. I will drive him to the airport. Both our teams could use another arm. But both may stand pat.

Am pretty sure there will be a Yankee trade for a pitcher, just probably not for Bumgarner. I would be shocked if not. I wondered how the MadBum would look clean shaven.
