@Slimpossible007 Thank you so much for this, I'll have a look through! I also do the cobra stretches a lot in the evening when we're relaxing or watching TV, and I do standing backbends every two hours at work during the day as instructed by the physical therapist I saw a few years ago. Another thing that has really been helping lately is acupuncture, which was something I never expected to actually work, but I tried it as a last resort and whaddaya know?2 -
@Slimpossible007 welcome back!!! Great to hear that your recovery is going well.
@Breepa123 Congratulations! Your happiness on your big day will shine through you and you'll be picture perfect!1 -
Hi everyone, I'm a longtime MFP tracker but this is my first venture into the community side of things and my first crack at this challenge. I look forward to September!10

Hello, everybody! I'm an older student with a fulltime job. I like to walk and jog (new runner here) in a nearby national park. I've been on MFP a month now, have lost 10 pounds, and have about 15 left to lose. I look forward to this challenge!8

Hi everyone!
This will be my 2nd month doing this challenge. I had some events last month that lead to a few extra days off track. I have nothing going on in September, so I plan (hope) to not use my pass days, but I am happy to have them! I also plan a dry month with and an extended fast beginning on the Fall equinox.
I have been working to lose weight since I gained it very quickly after quitting smoking in 2007. I have not been consistent long enough to lose more than 10-15lbs a year the past 3 years. I will eventually get to my goal of being a size 6/8. I hope to have it done before I officially hit menopause. I am 48, so my time is running out!5 -

Best gift you could ever give yourself. Congratulations! You will also be successful with the weight loss if you stick with UAC. It's not a race...in fact, most on this forum would agree steady and consistent habits will be your best friends to reach goal.4 -
@LisaPower123 if you can quit smoking, you can do this! Welcome to the group.2

Hello Everyone! I am looking forward to joining you for September's challenge and ALL the positive changes it will bring!4

Hi👋, newbie here. I am so excited to join this challenge and a bit nervous. I tend to go a bit overboard when I am being held accountable. September is already pre-planned with celebrations on top of celebrations, cake, yummy food, and travel. I am still excited to jump into this challenge. Let’s go!3

I did think about trying acupuncture, but after my MRI and chats with my doctor and physiotherapist I was told in my case it would be a waste of money (something to do with exactly where is was) so I didn't try out the acupuncture .. My dad has had it before (which is why I thought about it) and he loved itI'm glad you have found something that works for you, its a miserable time when you have back pain .. The gabapenton medication I was given (once I was at my highest doze) helped a lot ... I am still in the process of coming back off it again (fingers crossed for being drug free by mid November)

Hey newbie here. Excited about joining this group and building my healthy habits. 😁5

Hello Everyone,
I’m new to this group and excited for this month’s challenge. I sometimes use food to numb or distract; instead of for energy. So need support getting my brain rewired for a healthier lifestyle.
Any support or tips are welcome.

Hi! I'm new to this challenge, but I have used MFP sporadically over the years. I am a runner and struggle with balancing my weight as a result of overeating- under exercise (is that a term?) isn't an issue. I have a hard time saying no to food when it's good and I travel a lot for work, which makes eating out a must sometimes.
I am currently 135lbs but feel most comfortable in the low 120s. As a runner, I can see how the extra 10-15lbs has decreased my speed despite no change in my fitness abilities. I am also going to try to make September a sober month. While I'm not a big drinker (maybe 5-6 drinks a month), I know the empty calories are of no use when one is training and trying to lose weight. I mean training and losing weight simultaneously is hard enough- why add the mess of alcohol into it?
I look forward to working with all of you this month.6 -
Hi everyone, looking forward to September! I have some planned pass days this month for vacation, so I don't expect to make the winners circle....but I do have a goal to loose 5 lbs and will be working hard to get there!6
-
Hi 👋🏾 newbie here. Just looking for a group to be held accountable. Haha! Day one I’m probs not gonna make the calories haha! Bad hangout weekend.4
-
This is my third month and even though I have not lost and kept off my desired weight I fluctuate a bit I am ok with that but it’s nice to know others are out there working as hard as me good luck to all and happy 🍂 autumn6
-
Hello this is my second time in the group. Saw some improvement in my first month in the group with some consistent weight loss and consistency with my exercise. I start a 12 week training group at my local YMCA towards the end of September and I want to be halfway towards my goal weight by then, currently 5lbs away.7

42 years-old, married and mom of 2; I live in Ontario(Canada). Fairly busy job, with lots of sitting and a 45-minute commute on either end. Spouse is gluten-free for health and son is vegetarian-so it makes for some interesting meal-prep.
Also.....What an amazing amount of positive regard everyone has for this challenge. I got more and more excited as I read through. I was on this Fitness Pal app earlier in 2019 and lost a great deal of weight and felt great—I’ve been inching my way back on here and September seems to be a perfect time, set with new routines-and good to get in place before we are blanked in snow and darkness.7 -
Hi all. What an exciting group we have!
I joined UAC after regaining weight this past winter. I lost most of it by the end of June and then coasted in July and August. I’m hoping to lose that last bit and a little more in the coming months. I love the way UAC helps me go slow and steady.
@SisuMom2019 I’m from Ontario too, in the GTA. Welcome!6 -
Hey there! I’m new to the group. I am 51, business owner, mom of three sons and newly married for the second time! I used MFP 8 years ago to lose about 22 lbs which put me on the slightly thinner side of where I probably should be. Dialing up to about 135 i kept that weight mostly off for a long time. But this past year and a half has been tough and I gained almost all of it back. I started losing weight in the spring and lost a few pounds from 152 to 146. Then promptly broke my foot. So I am starting again at 147 healed and ready for action. MFP worked for me once and I am so excited to have friends to support and be supported by!8

Tried and failed a few times, but not giving up. Every time I tried, I've felt so much better, so here I am again...6

Hello, I am returning after 2 months. I had great time and success before in this group but with long vacation I couldn’t continue. Hope to work on getting my mojo back.
This is an awesome group and loved the challenges.5
