    Morning BBB

Our snorkel trip got rained out yesterday. We saw until we saw lightening but the water was way too murky to see anything. Should have gone sooner.

Might drive to Mauaguez today. There is a Kmart there and we still need few things...car sunshade, cooler and beach chairs.

    Good morning BBB crew.

VA says no hearing aids, yet, come back if it gets worse. Kind of cool, though, that they niow have access to my records at the Army medical center. They made a big change in software a couple years ago with information sharing one of the goals. It's good that that has worked.

Ortho appointment, this morning, for my hip. I'm hoping they can give me an injection, or something, to ease the pain, without having to resort to surgery.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I spent the morning with my Emmaus Reunion group.
    • Good to see a dog earning his keep.
    • Steph, are you staying on the west side of the island? There is a HP plant in Aquidilla I would visit occasionally.
    • VA logic is a mystery.

    Good Morning!

Sounds like Steph is on the right track: snorkel attempt, car sunshade, cooler and beach chairs !!! (All the Kmarts closed along with Sears around here). Enjoy your day Steph, you lucky retiree!

Does Chico the Chihuahua turn a trick or two?

Steph, how has the island recovered from the hurricane in your opinion? Things moving a long or not so good?

Lisa, you are an inspiration and we - your BBB family are always here for you, brave woman!!!

Good news Dave!? Maybe dw is whispering in a soft calm voice? Some folks are harder to hear than others.

Got some shasta daisy and bearded iris plants yesterday from my Moms old friend-coworker I reconnected with on a Wisconsin garden fb page. She recognized my name and reached out. Funny how its a small big world. Nice to hear Mom stories, etc. - nice lady to share her plantings! My gardens have runnth over, I suggest SO make one bigger - ahemmmmm.. heehee

    Have a good day BBB

My ego says to put off hearing aids, if I don't NEED them.

Ortho appointment showed my hippain is caused by a variety of problems, none of which indicate surgery. I might get an ultrasound guided injection in the joint, if things get worse. Most important, the doc says my hiking won't make things worse than they would be, anyway, and will probably actually be therapeutic.

Yes we are on the west side. Not too far south of Aquadilla.

So far we have been in mostly populated towns and they look like most tropical locations with some great looking structures and lots of run down. Mostly I am noticing that there are lots of houses that used to be two stories and are now one with random walls sticking up Some are beimg rebuily and some look like this is now the way they are.

Apparently most of the lingering damage is less obvious. The rainforest still has most of the trails closed, the condos at the beach we have been to the most used to have a pool and you can't even see anything except a keep out fence. And the electrical grid is only at about 60%. We have only had the power blink once but random 2--4 hour outages are extremely common. Trump doesn't have any love here. At all.

It was 100 degrees here today and 101 in downtown Madison, they closed our pool for winter seems they think water is too cool, it had dropped down to 89 because of cooler nights; and this is what we pay association fees for.
Subbed today for world history teacher, then yoga class late this afternoon.
Dave knowing the government I would request aids and take them as soon as I could get them; new technology allows them to be adjusted as hearing changes.
Injections really help my shoulders and last about 4 months
Any day retired on tropical island is better than a day of work on mainland
Love flowers shared from others garden
