I hope you had a beautiful, tropical, relaxing, loving anniversary, Steph! Hugs to both of you! I have a friend from PR who was home visiting his grandma this weekend. His pics made me think of you! Crazy story how we met ... it was at a business conference for teens through Junior Achievement back when I was in 10th grade. He and I stayed pen pals through high school, and found each other again when fb took off. I thought I was so cool because I had a friend in PR! He lives in NY now.

So, to update you on Dd28. It was a NIGHTMARE. I bet I was on the phone for at least 3 or 4 hours on Thursday with various hospitals and agencies and insurances. All the while, she was falling deeper and deeper into despair. Finally, she kind of blew up and said she was "just done", and I was left feeling helpless and frustrated. About 2 hours later, she told me that, when she spoke to the OBGYN who said that she couldn't come because of her insurance, she mentioned that the doctor had said she COULD do private pay. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! She hadn't mentioned that to me before, and I KNOW she was aware that I was willing to pay it! So, I had her call, and we set up the appointment for Friday, and for a mere $83 we got her meds adjusted and a follow-up planned for next Friday to see if it's working. UGH! But, at least we're making progress. The thing about postpartum is that it IS a chemical issue, based on hormonal imbalances from childbirth. Counseling can help, but it won't make any difference without chemical help first. Thank God we might be on the way toward that! I also got her on a B complex vitamin, which my sister (a pharmacist) explained will improve her body's ability to process serotonin. Apparently, B is often deficient after childbirth.

It's been a quiet weekend here, which is much-needed. Church tonight. Love you all!

• I am not working AV this morning. I was supposed to be in Indy this weekend but bowed out due to a busy schedule. I slept in and I'm going to the late service.
• Braves won, Dawgs won. Life is good. Notre Dame played tough though.

Babysitting Arianna last night was wonderful and she's so easy. Happy baby! Went right down per the 1 page written schedule and notes left for me, haha. I could then watch her on the i pad video, every breath is counted, movement noted, time she was put in crib etc etc. Today's technology... smh! Mac dog is good too. All that metal in his rear leg though definitely has lasting impact esp. up, down steps, you can tell.

They asked my ds2 to be her Godfather yesterday! What an honor for him and he's very humbled.

Last day of summer here brings rain and 70's

Brewers won, Badgers won, UNT won, let's go Packers! I can now go all in with Badgers for the Big10!!!
