Yesterday, I celebrated with my favorite cousin, Sharon, at her 70th birthday party.
I"m almost as old as she is. Here is a video of Australian musician singing "Today is mine". I often listen to this song when I feel disappointed or defeated. It helps me get back on the track and moving forward.
I'll try to post the lyrics in the next discussion cell.
Just remember, "Life is not a rehearsal so you had better get on with it!"

The day started really badly, with me totally drowning, dealing with French bureaucracy and being constantly interrupted by husband. I was ready to go out and buy a large bottle of vodka and big bag of nachos ... Instead I took a deep breath, took another slug of fizzy mineralwater ... and suddenly it all came together!
However, I'd wasted a lot of time, so my exercise was limited to 25 minutes walking around, looking for a cash machine that was not 'Out of Order'. The rest of the day was fine, supervising lovely gardener, trimming my trees, and assisting an equally lovely young home help, clearing out my kitchen cupboards. The day finished with an unexpected phonecall from a friend abroad.
So, I didn't go over calories and I managed to track everything as well!15 -
It seems that I am already out of the running for the Winner’s Circle this month! There have been more than 3 days that I have missed at least one element of the big 3 for UAC. What was to be one night of my youngest daughter, her fiancé, many of their belongings, and their 90 pound dog has turned into 3 nights and days so far in my little condo. It has been chaos. The dog is not used to being here and is so confused that he can’t be left alone. I can’t get out to shop, so it has been take out each night. They are gone right now to the closing on their house, so hopefully things will be back to normal either tonight or tomorrow, whenever the movers get the go ahead to unload the truck! Then hopefully things will go back to normal! I will continue to post as I hope to follow the challenge for the rest of the month.9

I didn’t know how to tag people whom asked about my photo from one of my posts. The photo was from a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai has a very large celebration for Yi Peng and Loi Krathong. I came here with a large group to celebrate.7 -

3x’s yes. Another big workout day- an hour of strength and an hour of step this morning. Followed up with an hour class that alternates strength and step this evening. I’m changing up my macros a bit and working on eating specifically for either fueling workouts or muscle recovery after. Logging everything. Good on calories- it’s a bit easier at this activity level because I have to eat back some exercise calories in order to keep my machine working.7 -

I went to a Pilates class at the gym today to change things up a bit. I typically am not a fan of Pilates but I really enjoyed it. I mighty as it to my workout rotation. I invited a friend and he liked it too. So that might motivate me even more!
Counted them calories and stayed under, barely since I treated myself to dessert at lunch and dinner :-)

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? This was the easiest part of my day, actually. I woke up and went straight into a workout and felt good about myself afterwards.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, with a lot of difficulty. I was out and about and only had fast food available to me for the majority of the day. I went ahead and got one of my usuals without thinking about it, but when logging later I realized just how much sodium and calories it had. It literally almost wiped out my calorie bucket in one sitting. I’ve had to do nothing but snack since then to stay within my goal. It’s a good lesson to show how fast food honestly isn’t my friend, and how ‘my usuals’ are what got me to this point in the first place. Maybe me having to snack all day instead of getting to eat a normal sized supper can be a learning experience and hopefully now I’ll think twice before opting for the quicker options.

Pass day 2 of 3 for November. We went to Epcot with family and ate at the Biergarten at the German pavilion. I've logged it but I am sure it is not an accurate calorie count. I walked 5.92 miles today, over 13,000 steps and although it was painful at times with my knee issues, I was so proud of myself!! Such a great time with my nephew, his wife, and my husband.4

Exercise: very light day but I walked 17 min in my office and spent 5 minutes doing side steps,etc at the copy machine
Calories: Wednesdays are hard for me lately. I cook "not calorie friendly" food for my church every week. And before I was on a diet I'd usually say I was too busy to even eat it but since dieting I want to eat all the yummy food I'm cooking for others But I felt in control today and only ate the portions I planned for.
