Decided to eat dinner for lunch and vice-versa tonight. However, my Dad then surprised us by saying he'd cook a delicious yet not healthy dinner. I didn't want to offend him or have him worry over me, so I ate the dish he cooked instead. Although I came pretty close to going over my daily carb limit for the first time, I learned an important lesson: make sure to know who is cooking and when so I know how to budget my carbs. Got in my exercise.7

What an epic day! After a long 9 months of injury and surgery and recovery and transplant and complications, I rolled with coach today! I wanted it to be with him because I was a bit scared of how it would go. I'm super weak and unfit and my shoulder is not fully unfrozen yet, but it was awesome, even though I know he totally let me do everything. If he put any resistance, I was stuck, but it's just so good to be moving again. Jiu Jitsu is a full body workout so getting in some time regularly will get me fit and strong! I also went to class but didn't do much there as I was too tired. I even had to stop technique as I was a bit light headed. Nearly an hour with coach is a good workout for anyone, for my fitness level, it was a lot!
Good food choices and just under my lowest limit. Got some delicious berries and after a good lunch of chicken stirfry, supper was berries, yogurt and protein powder!
I'm confident that by the end of the year, I'll be rolling regularly with ease and a good bit lighter. I only need to drop about 8-10kgs to get to the weight I'm aiming for.8 -

26th November
Exercise: Yes, managed a 30-minute walk during my lunch hour, glorious sunshine, 18°! after I'd eaten my pre-prepared lunch of lettuce, green beans, kidney beans, sweetcorn and tomatoes. Another 30 minutes tonight to see a dance performance. The Christmas lights are up in town, lovely festive atmosphere.
Calories: Yes, under. Had also pre-prepared supper as I knew I'd come home starving.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.

Pass #3! An hour of Pilates and an hour of yoga. I had lunch with a my favorite ex room mate and we went for a long walk. I’m sure I’m good on calories but I didn’t weigh or log at the time and I’m sure I’m distorting the portions in my mind.
Luckily I’m not a big fan of Thanksgiving dinner so I might make it to the end of the month.5 -

I went to the Y today for a rare afternoon swim followed by the avowed upper body strength training. Yes, I got in 1600+ meters in the but pool, but darn! The women's center (a small room with leftover equipment) was closed for maintenance! I returned to the main workout floor and tried to hang with the oversized men, grunting, panting and throwing giant weights around, but I just couldn't do it. Way too intimidating! I came home to bodyweight knee push-ups and a few stretchy band pulls. A feeble effort, but I did it. Calories and tracking are good.
