We got up at 3:30 am to get to the airport in San José, Costa Rica. Here is our last photo. It was 5:00 am and the sunrise lit up the Santa Ana mountain and clouds. It was a beautiful view from the second floor of the airport.
We are back home tonight.
All is well.
Thanks for your support!

Here is another important excerpt from our UAC FAQs:
7. What happens if I "slip up"?
Well, mistakes happen. The challenge is to be mindful of your fitness plan every day for a month. If you slip up for one day and you have used all your allowable Pass days, you will not qualify for the monthly Winner's Circle. BUT, we encourage you to stick with us and your goals. Nobody gets tossed out of the UAC. It's a long-term life change that the UAC is promoting.
8. What if the moderator “slips up”?
The moderater, @RangerRickL, does not always qualify for the Winner's Circle. Since I don't always qualify...you can certainly be forgiven if you don't qualify.
9. What do I get if qualify for the monthly Winner's Circle?
You get the satisfaction of knowing you adhered to your fitness plan for a solid month. You also get your username posted in the "Winners' Circle" thread, which is posted at the beginning of the following month.
YOU...are the one who will let the moderator and the team know if you have qualified at the end of a month. I'm not running a daily Excel spreadsheet.

@RangerRickL Good to hear you are back safely.
Thank you so much for all the messages of support. This is part of why I love the UAC group.
So thankful I have the forest to walk in. It helps me a lot.
I'll put my daily need to write in a spoiler so as not to clutter the channel.Appointment with psychologist did not go completely as planned today. Education system threw a spanner in the works and the first half of the session was working a plan of attack to get daughter what she needs school wise (she starts the last 2 years of school next year and is really not ready). This meant that progression on therapy approach did not advance as much as hoped. This triggered a mini meltdown in my daughter and most of this evening is support to get her functional.
Mentally I am at a new low and using many self-help techniques learned over the years to keep me together so I can support my family.
I'll try teach a few more cognitive techniques to my daughter.

Although I've already lost 4.2 lb in 3 days on the UAC, I will no longer be able to participate, online. Best wishes to everyone.9 -
Good morning all!
Rick, thank you for providing this platform for everyone.
For those on here who are struggling mentally and physically, remain focused and keep on tracking.
Have a successful day everyone!9 -
Gonna use one of my passes again. I promise I'm not falling off the wagon! I was just given a surprise food to eat at dinner after eating a very healthy breakfast and lunch and exercising. If I'd had any idea how bad it was for me (it looked so innocent), I wouldn't have eaten it. Ah, well. 2 lessons learned: that particular food is bad for you, and don't eat surprises unless you are sure they're not bad for you. Still a significant difference from yesterday. I have a very healthy day planned for tomorrow.9

@lotta7e. Literally take it one day at a time. Learn from each day that has passed and just do what you can today.
Sounds like you are on the right track.

I’m traveling for work the next few days and had an unexpected NSV this morning. A dress I recently bought a size smaller is almost too big. My jacket is also getting too big (it’s a size bigger than dress). I work at home most days so only get “dressed up” for in-person meetings. I felt much more comfortable in a dress today than normal due to toning from weights and exercise. Yay!!! Still sick though, but the NSV made me feel better today, haha.9 -
@lotta7e you got this!!! Sounds like you have a great plan for future days including tomorrow. Probably most of us have come across some surprise foods. Your attitude in regards to “surprises” is also very inspiring!!
One surprise for me was shelled edamame; while it may be “good” fat, I was really surprised and it adds up quickly!2 -

3 x’s yes. I woke up at 1am and after staring at ceiling for an hour I just got up at 2am. It was a very busy day with house decorating and party prepping. I made it to boot camp and stayed for cardio/strength interval class. My husband wanted to get pizza since we were so beat, but I convinced him that just because we have a planned higher calorie day on Friday, it doesn’t mean we should start now.7
