Yesterday, we had our end of the year law firm partner and leadership meeting. Fortunately, we had a good year and served lots of people. Our motto is 'loving our clients and transforming their outcomes." Not the normal law firm motto, but it's a simple way to express the Golden Rule of service.
Technically, there are two weeks left in the month, but from a productivity standpoint, it's all downhill from here through the first of the year.
What do you need to accomplish before Christmas or the end of the year?

Happy to report that last night and today have been much better than the previous 2. Got a regular amount of sleep.

@RangerRickL. Long list of things to complete before Christmas, both at work and around the house.
Taking some time off the "to do list" completion on Sunday to drone race. Fortunately Sunday I will be a competitor rather than the dual role of organiser & competitor.6 -
In South Africa most people are on summer holiday 16 Dec to 2 Jan at least. This means that all the tourists are in town so the complex is busy, it's seal pup season so we are either rehabbing or releasing seals, the reptiles are more active and hungry, we are on short staff because people are away and all our friends are organising fun stuff so for those of us who work, is pretty crazy. My main aim at this time of year is to get to January!
Today I needed to be at work at 5:30. We loaded up a stranded seal and drove to the harbour to give it to some Rangers who were going to release him. Back at work we spent an hour before anyone else arrived putting chlorine over algae on the sides of the empty pool. My hands are still burning and I smell of it. Then vet visit and make sure the reptile staff and volunteers have everything under control. Thankfully I have an amazing intern who I can trust to just get on with everything. Then formula for me stranded puppy we need to hand raise and put together a second batch of stuff to make formula so someone can take pup home and feed outside hours. Then off to help with cleaning the algae off the pool wall. I took my watch off for the next 90 minutes or so as our job was to unlock the drain. The water was about knee high by then and I immediately slipped on the algae which entertained the visitors. After pulling algae off the drain for about 30 minutes I finally got enough off to allow water through. By this point I had figured out that if I sat in the water I could block more algae from getting to the drain and I was already wet. It is all about embracing your inner swamp monster. At one point our temperamental Mommy seal came right up to me. My colleague was nearby and better if us knew how Sammy would react. Luckily she didn't attack but watched me briefly and moved away. Once the drain was working I joined in with pulling algae off the walls or pilling it up to be loaded into buckets and pulled out of the pool. Finally took a short break at 1 to eat before I collapsed. Afternoon was similar, formula for puppy and cleaning the pool. I did a 30 minute session with the high pressure hose which requires strength to control. Home to shower and then off to Jiu Jitsu for a brief roll. Not counting the 90 minutes of drain clearing or the time on the mat, I have nearly 20000 steps for the day. I think I was active enough.
Food choices were not ideal but logged and cane in at a reasonable total.
Tomorrow I can go in a bit later, although I need to drop something off on my way to yoga.7 -

Well, it looks like I am out of the challenge for the month. I went over my calorie intake and did not exercise today. It was tough because I went out to eat at Cracker Barrel and went over my 1500 calorie limit. Still, I will continue to track to do the best I can for the remainder of the month. December is a tough month for me due to the holidays. This challenge has made a big difference in my life and the accountability factor keeps me in check most of the days. Thanks! I hope everyone continues to do well in the challenge. 😊7 -

Went to the dr today and got the # I was looking for Since the same time last year my BMI is 10 points down and I’m over 50 lbs down. Yay!!!
Still a long way to go, but a great way to end the year, and it’s nice to see an actual number as a bit of validation for the hard work. I know there’s things more important than the scale, but it felt great to see it!!!7 -
As a retired person, I take each day as it comes. Hoping to finally get through a Christmas without undoing all my hard work on getting to my UGW. 😂

I, too, went to the doctor's office recently and I discovered I am shrinking! They checked my height twice and I repeated the exercise at home. I've lost a half inch!!! I'm joining the Little Old Ladies Club. Yikes!
Yes, I do have a few to-dos before we say goodbye to the 20teens but nothing to stress over.

Yes x3. Upper body strength.
My to do list before Christmas is quite short! We leave on the weekend to see family and I will have some cleaning and last minute things to do on Monday before more family comes to us.5 -
Exercise: Y 13K steps including 4 miles at the Y this afternoon
Calories: Y 1394/1800 + 609 exercise calories
Tracked: Y
Looks like my effort to dial back the calories and ramp up the exercise the past week has paid off...down another 4.2 for a December total of 5.8. I think I may now be at the lightest I have been in at least 17 years. I’m ahead of where I had hoped to be at year’s end which was less than 210#. Now the challenge will be to keep it off through the holidays.

We threw a huge party on the 6th, that is our main holiday celebration. It was hectic and stressful prepping for that but since then I’ve been relaxed and enjoying the tree and the decorated house.

What do I need to accomplish before Christmas or the end of the year?
The usual holiday-related tasks. I also want to do some small acts of kindness toward strangers during the holidays, when I have an opportunity. Yesterday I went through the drive-through at a McDonald's to buy a decaf coffee, asked how much the bill was for the car behind me, and paid it before they drove to the pay-window. Somebody did that to me last year, so I'm passing it on -- that, and a few other small acts.
Pass days 2/34 -

3 mile total for two dog walks, under calories for the first time in months!4 -
Another barely made it day - this time bc calories whereas yesterday was exercise. I'm doing okay though and confident I'll hit my weight goal by the end of the month. Tomorrow is my last work day of the year and I'm ready to get in some killer workouts😬4

@Hollis100 that is a very nice thing to do! Thanks for sharing that moment of kindness received and then given.
