    I have another injury! Some of you might remember I dislocated my pinky toe in July...well, now I broke it! :grumble: Same toe! It's so annoying how easily I get hurt when all I'm trying to do is be healthy and strong and fit. :cry:

    I am going to shoot for 3 miles a day this month and losing 5 lbs. Need to get the rest of this weight off. NO MORE EXCUSES!
    OK You all know that I work in a Storage Facility and my workouts consist of walking the property, cleaning it and spaces so unless I do something different I am going to be posting the day and mileage. This will cut down on the length of posts for me.

    12/3 2.94 total miles
    12/4 2.54 total miles
    12/5 2.79 total miles
    12/6 2.72 total miles
    12/7 3.57 total miles plus 3 hrs of bagging & boxing all the candy I made getting it ready to ship and deliver
    12/8 Absolutely no exercise!! Took a Sunday drive with hubby for our 41st wedding anniversary. So busted on food intake but it was fun. We are looking for retirement property about Toledo Bend Reservoir.

    12/10 1 miles no exercise today. had to use the car to check property rainy and on 38 degrees F.

    Sleep has not been the best which means my energy has been low but my anxiety has been high. Oy!
    Hoping the next couple of days will allow for some much needed recovery.

    Oh no! I don't blame you, I'd be grumbling too. Maybe some yoga or if you have access to a swimming pool, just something to take the weight off but still get in a workout when you are ready. It's hurt quite a bit just to jam one into a chair leg...I have lot's of experience with that, but to break it, I can't imagine how that must have hurt. I hope it's better very soon.

    @AnnofB thank you! I ended up using a bruise gel which was awesome, kept icing it when I had a chance, taped it and went on because I am stubborn. :laugh: I probably should have rested it more in the beginning, but with the holidays now, I won't have a chance to walk much so hopefully it will have some healing time.

    @VeggieGirlforLife - Congrat's on making your goal! I know that tape will be a big help with the healing. I'll have to look for that bruising gel. I seem to do a lot of that, being the graceful (NOT) person I am. Lol about being stubborn.

    @AnnofB The bruise remedy I use is Arnica Bruise Relief Gel by Boiron. I'm amazed how well it works. I keep it on hand because I'm a walking accident! :laugh:

    Happy New Year's Eve y'all. I just finished reading all of your posts for November and December and enjoyed every one of them. Well done everybody!

    @Deeder522, I hope that your back injury is all healed up now and that you are feeling great again.

    @VeggieGirlforLife, you're doing really well for having a broken pinky toe. Hope all is mended soon. Great mileage!

    I had to chuckle when I read that. So true indeed! I was with my son and his family for three weeks in November, and the most concentrated times of walking I did was during both travel days while in the airport. However I got a lot of bursts of activity chasing my granddaughter around and making up games :laugh: and helping my DIL. Yep! somehow I was also busy from sunup until I went to sleep. I did manage a number of mornings during the first week when I woke up really early and I found some good workouts and walks on YouTube. And I also had my stretchy band with me. I'd pick my granddaughter up whenever I could catch up with her to get some strength in 💪.

    After getting home near the end of November I ended up dealing with a sudden unexpected health issue. Test outcomes were much better than the possibilities my doctor was considering, but left my doctor perplexed as to why or what is actually going on. So we will redo them at a later date and see if there is any change one way or the other or if further tests are needed.

    So in December I did a lot of raking leaves, yard/ porch and garden work because we had the most lovely weather ever for December and I was waiting for test results. So I chose outside walks and work instead of inside walks/ workouts because I can regulate that better and take breaks when needed. And of course I had to force myself to come inside for some cleaning/ decluttering in the house and trying to catch up on things since being away. Plus getting ready for Christmas 😉.
    Recently I injured my left ankle somehow (truly have really no idea how) and that really put an end to my outside walks or work because I was in a lot of pain and just not getting better fast enough. My doctor is again unsure why this is happening. I finally had to get X rays this morning just to be sure what is going on, or not. I'm to behave myself exercise wise (elevate it and use ice etc) until my appointment next week, or I become pain free.
    I am so ready to feel healthy again and get back to walking and exercising.

    Oh no, Mary! Hate to hear this about your ankle. It's the hardest thing when you want to workout but can't because of a health issue. Praying for swift recovery. So glad the other issue appears to be benign, even if perplexing to your doc. I know you will be walking again very soon. Take care. :)
