    Mornin' BBB.

Conference call at 8 am with partner veterinarians about hiring a part time veterinarian that has been interviewed at least three times already. Seems like overkill for a someone who will be working one day a week and one Saturday a month.

Sam, patience and persistence works with buying a new car as well as weight loss. We are fortunate to have a relationship with a local Toyota dealership that has always been on the level with us.

    Morning~

Person Job Fit. Hope you find the right candidate who will concentrate on critters versus someone who will bring drama in the practice.

Hard to believe the weekend is over. Ugh......

    Morning BBB

Moving day. Ron is up and all ready to go. We don't have to leave for 4 hours and can't get in to new place until 2. I'm going to at least drink my coffee before I help.

My dad and youngest sister are coming to visit in a few weeks they have finally picked dates but I don't think have tickets yet. My other sister said she might send 13yo niece too.

Party in PR! Happy moving day, Steph.

I've met this veterinarian. She was a vet tech prior to going to vet school. I say hire her and see how she works out.

    Good morning.

Remind them that kids fresh from school come cheaper than grizzled veterans, Lee.

    Sam~

HOLD IT! You put in a deposit and they sold it? I'd be dancing on top of the GM's desk with a few choice *kittens*

    Good Morning,
Did not sleep well, trying to decide how to deal with dealership. Vehicle 2019 Highlander Limited White w/almond leather, cannot find another in Georgia. 2020 is more $8,000 more and would have to be ordered.
Lee, I understand their thoroughness; they would be left along with practice and hopefully could work out for more hours as practice grows or work in other practices that company may acquire, but I do agree after 3 interviews and a background check what else to they expect to know.
Steph, firm believer in calm morning coffee before starting day; hope you enjoy new place better.
Raine, are you getting moved in this week?
Cold here, at least no moisture with cold

    Good morning BBB crew.

I'm not good at buying cars. I'll turn 70 in six weeks, and I have owned seven cars in my life. Skip goes through that many in a year. I'd be pretty ticked, if I put down a deposit and then they sold it to someone else, though.

Up early when my hip pain got too bad to stay in bed. Sigh. It feels better after I get up and move around, but then I'm tired all day. Monthly meeting of my woodturning club, tonight, so I have that to look forward to, anyway.

    Morning BBB

Sorry about the car Sam, that stinks. Ask for the 8k discount. Right. Maybe find one within USA and they pay for transport to you?

    Happy moving day Steph.

Hope the hip feels better Dave, maybe a cat nap in store later ?

Good luck with the new hire Doc, does that mean you don't have to work a Sat?

Im with Skip, lookin on Tues for the weekend already!

Agree. What's the point of a deposit if they won't hold it. I agree with Lee hire the part time vet and get on with life. Hope your hip feels better soon Dave. sometimes mine doesn't want me to sleep on that side at night myself. Drink up Steph, coffee for sure!

I know Lee will scratch his head but I like getting in some pre-sprouted/germinated peas early. They recommend February to end of March beginning of April for seeds outside but I have had great luck germinating them a bit in a sprouts jar etc and planting in January. They will survive down to 5 degrees if heavily mulched for a brief super cold spell and will germinate in as low as 39 degrees. If not pre-sprouted I think some might "rot" but not when sprouted a pinch. Got in a half a row yesterday and put some bird netting around with a squirt or two of hot sauce. I think raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and skunks don't like Sriracha on their feet etc. Any mammal can become habituated to capsaicin from hot peppers but initially don't usually like it. Squirrels will eventually eat hot pepper seeds right out of a bird feeder and deer will mow down a whole row of hot peppers too. So far seems to help a bit when used.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Started the day with my Tuesday Morning Emmaus group. Great bunch of guys.
    • So I obviously don't know the whole story but that sure sounds like breach of contract to me Sam. Bummer. I know one Toyota dealer I have no intention of doing business with and the Rav4 was a possibility. Actually I am leaning Honda.
    • I agree Lee, that sounds like a whole lot of effort for hiring someone who is going to work 5 or 6 days a month. Heck, if it doesn't work out cut her hours to zero.
    • Have a good moving day Steph. Hopefully Raine will have one soon.
    • Take a nap Dave. They work wonders.

So did they come to a decision on the call, Lee?
I hope your move goes smoothly, Steph.
I'm with Dennis, Sam ... sounds like breach of contract. What exactly is the purpose of a deposit if not to hold it?
((((David))))) I hope the pain has subsided.
Bob, your green thumb is amazing and astounding!
Here's to a GREAT week, Skip! I'm sorry you don't like weekdays. :(

So I had something happen yesterday. A former member posted on my fb wall. He and his wife are LT members from one of my meetings, coming for a couple years now. They used to come early a lot, and we'd hang out and chat about kids, work, life, all that. His wife still comes, but his health has been failing. I am pretty sure the post is a goodbye ... he's dying. His wife told me Thursday that he was ready. It tore my heart apart to realize the purpose of his post (he wasn't overt about it), but at the same time, how HONORED am I that, in his last days, he even thought to say anything to his WW Coach? Wow. Wow. Wow. These are precious, depleting moments for him, and he spent a few on me. I am so humbled and filled with love.

Good evening. I just don’t see how they can sell the car you put a deposit on? Makes no sense to me.

Bob, short story here. Farmers put in radishes in these fields around here. I guess they are to freeze and make the soul richer? Anyway, we had a very long warm spell and the radishes rot in the ground. The east side of town STINKS Even a big article in our local paper about the smell. Not saying this will happen to you. I thought you might find it entertaining.

Lisa, you touch many lives. ❤️

Dave, hope your hip let’s you get a good night of sleep tonight.

    Steph, how long to pack??

Dennis, you talk of your Emmaus group quite frequently. How many years ago did you do the walk? Do you help with it each time it’s offered?

I’m ready for the weekend too.
